This was a pre-order on Amazon and it gives me a January 15th release date.
Wolfgang Haffner and Michael Wollny, ordered these after many plays on Tidal
From local Charity shop, 4 for £1.50:-
BIly Joel - An Innocent Man
Mavericks - From Hell To Paradise, Music For All Occasions
Big Jim Sullivan - Mr Rock Guitar
Stan Rogers, The very best of
On Amazon Italy, for me the cheapest...
Amazon Italy..
Counting Crows. Recovering The Satellites.
Bush. Razorblade Suitcase.
Springsteen. The Ghost Of Tom Joad.
The Black Crowes. Greatest Hits 1990-99.
Three bucks a pop and each in like new condition. Nary a scratch on the jewel case. I have to wonder if these weren't just ripped and sold - never actually listened to on a CDP, booklets never removed.

This is very good news. I was told that this box was in production. I have some of the CD's but not all. I like Gilels' versions of the sonatas very much. How do you evaluate SQ?
Regards. Erich

I most probably will wait for the price to drop a bit for this one....

You can never win playing the market these days
I cringed a bit but gambled reasoning that it wasn't too bad for 114 cd's. And maybe the price could go up yet.
I struggle with all these nice sets because I have most of the discs already. In fact, I already own the three complete Brendel sets of the Beethoven Piano Sonatas and two of those will be duplicated here as well as 3/4 of set. But the two Philips sets when I bought them years ago cost me more combined than this complete Philips box set. It isn't smart money wise to duplicate like this but it is all relative. It is worth having the sets just to get the few missing pieces.
Next on my wish list is the Gilels and Lupu. Again, I really don't need them as I have most the music already but just feel compelled somehow to be a completist. In the long run I'm never sorry. In the case of the Brendel I admire him as an artist and we'll say that essentially I'm buying the book that comes with it.

Perhaps you are right. I also have a completist syndrome....., and indeed for this set you can't predict if the current price will be the right one or if it will even go up going forward. I might still pull the trigger soon. As I have only 1/4th of what is offered is still a reasonable offer.
