Thanks Roberto,
Yours is the second recommendation I have had for this one so I'm very much looking forward to receiving it this week.
All the best
Steve
Hi Steve,
If you like the genre, i also strongly advise you this one
If you can find one, there is also another nice edition from Fonè Records

Thanks again Roberto I do like the genre and medieval music has a strange fascinating appeal for me. I like to have the music around to dip into when the mood arises! I have managed to order this one from Harmonia Mundi via Amazon for £3.84, I'm delighted this should be an interesting one and of course good for a Christmas drama...
Your recommendation matches with this music reviewer:
"This is a superbly spirited and colourful performance...one of this year's outstanding early music recordings."

HI Steve,
It's quite strange like people like me and you (i suppose looking at your profile) grew up with post punk music, Factory groups, Dark Wave, New Wave, Neo Folk and so on, have a soft spot for medieval music. In the mid 80s i aready had a small collection of Harmonia Mundi vinyls of middle age and baroque era btw.

I actually grew up perhaps to music two decades earlier than that Roberto! My first album buys from pocket money or presents being the likes of the Shadows, The Troggs and the Animals. I enjoyed all the varieties of swinging sixties bands (at a young age!) before getting mainly into prog-rock and psychedelic music from the late sixties / early seventies.
Part of the fascination for me with early and ancient music is that it enables us to have a good idea of the sounds and voices of 900 years or so ago, a fascination that never seems to fade, It's like listening to the thoughts and voices of our ancient ancestors.
If you can be bothered (occasionally) please do post some of the early or medieval music you are listening to in the forum it will be interesting to see what you have and what you enjoy or recommend.
Best wishes
Steve
