Solo piano album by the italian pianist from Norma Winstone Trio.

Nelson's Grammy winning Shostakovich CDs i've heard so much about. Supposedly the recording is excellent. I'd love to experience it live some day.
Tangerine Dream
Phaedra
And
Rubycon
Hi Since Friday i have heard Tangerine Dream On the radio and in HMV in Glasgow, this is one of those bands that i kept saying that i must buy some of their albums but never got around to doing so, i have been saying this since these albums where released.
So this morning i read some reviews on the famous online retailer web site to get some idea as to what albums i should buy, as Tangerine Dream have a lot of albums and i had no clue which i should buy.
Went into HMV Glasgow for the day and bought these albums, what do you think of my selections.
Which Tangerine Dream albums do you consider are must buys, or would recommend that i buy.

Edward, I have close on 90 TD albums (a band I cherish) including much of their stuff from The Tangerine Tree Project. If you are liking these two early albums then do carry on and buy all their releases up to about 1981 / 1982 which carry on in a similar style to those early albums (about 18 albums). From '82 their style changed and became more commercial which is worthy of an entire thread.

Edward,
I'd echo Stevee's comments about TD's albums. Their Virgin years releases are generally regarded as their best work. If I were to recommend a single album, it would probably be "Force Majeure" but Ricochet, Stratosfear and Tangram are also pretty much essential. Of their 1980s albums I'd recommend "Poland" and "Underwater Sunlight".
BTW there is also an excellent 2CD compilation of TD's Virgin Years output called "Dream Sequence" which includes a couple of outstanding tracks from the "Risky Business" soundtrack. I still play this regularly when I just want to listen to some TD and can't decide which album to put on.
First I have discovered him playing Schuman pieces and love the way he communicates.
This is my first Beethoven piece playing my all time fave PC1. He's becoming one of my favourite living pianist today.
"This is the first volume of the Beatles "Anthology" - a double CD set featuring 60 tracks, released in 1995. It's followed by Anthology 2 and Anthology 3. The music presented here is from the period 1958 to 1964 (aside from the inclusion of the "Free as a Bird" song). There are several previously unreleased songs - such as the very early recording 'In Spite of all the Danger' - and a number of dialogue tracks (involving conversation). The majority of the tracks are alternative takes, live performances and demos of well-known songs, including many hits, e.g. 'I Want to Hold Your Hand' and 'A Hard Day's Night'. Nothing featured on the album had previously been released by the Beatles in the form it's heard here. Rather, this album represents an opportunity to listen to the Beatles in a slightly new way." - An Amazonian's Comment
Hi Stevee_s & sjabbey, sorry for the late reply, surprise visitors last night just as i was five into minutes Rubycon.
Thank you for your recommendations i will listen to Rubycon tonight after the champions league, in will help calm me down. Over the next couple of months each time i go into Glasgow i will come home with a new TD album, again thank you for you guidance on this.

That's great Edward, just an idea but you could start buying the albums chronologically so as to gauge the band evolving with each of your purchases. You have Phaedra and Rubicon so your next couple could be Ricochet and Stratosfear, perhaps two of their best Virgin years albums to look forward to.

* Edit : I should have added this link to discogs here so that you can follow their albums release dates.
CD version.
A nice sidelight to visiting my daughter in Madison, Wisconsin is that the lovely heartland town has several great record shops. My latest CD pickings from a store there called 'Strictly Discs'
