so to get things off and running
queen--the highlander sound track
Lera Auerbach plays her Preludes and Dreams for piano
Joseph Haydn: Six Piano Sonatas - Einav Yarden (piano)
Inav Yarden: Oscillations - Piano music by Beethoven & Stravinsky
Including DVD
Christmas presents:-
Trying out a new (for me) pianist, Dan Nimmer:
Fish, The Moveable Feast, a four cd live offering from Fish for my wife's Xmas present. I will rip it today for her so that she can listen in the house and take it around in her car. Pretty good package for a mere 20 quid
On a funky trip:
Britfunk:
Compilation of Factory's NYC adventures, featuring New Order, ACR, Cabaret Voltaire, 52nd Street, Marcel King, Section 25, Streetlife, Konk, Thick Pigeon, Quando Quango, Ike Yard, Anna Domino and Arthur Baker:
Bit of a convoluted route to the albums Radiodread and The Dub Side of the Moon:
following up on somebody's recommendation for the band Airbag on the Forum, a search on Amazon Music brought me to the Easy Star All Stars and their reggae cover of Radiohead's track Airbag on the Radiodread album.
I have had a word with myself over not being all over this earlier. I think John Peel would have approved.

You are right Erich, it looks great. I caught the Radio 3 review which was very favourable too. Despite dropping list of hints pre-Christmas , however, a Mozart 225 box set has still not dropped into my lap.
