Trying to catch-up with old classics.
Brahms violin concerto played by Nigel Kennedy
Filling a gap while replacing a lost album, cheap enough to do on The River.
A splurge on the river spending a Christmas voucher. Mix of new and used.
Not their best but it does complete my Steely Dan collection - from Discogs.
Frances Black. The Sky Road, Stronger, The Smile On Your Face.
Alison Krauss. Now That I've Found You.
Another very important pianist I am trying to catch up to.
Listening to Maria Joao Pires play Schubert Impromptus
..but, sadly, this is not by way of a recommendation . Bought this on the strength of good reviews from Gramophone, but find it slow, unexciting and self-indulgent rather than 'rapt', 'personal' and 'intimate' as per the reviews.
