Filling more holes in the library, this one £4.64 (inc. delivery) from Amazon Prime.
Ordered new and apparently sympathetically remastered: 8 albums on 4 CDs for £5.81 (+£1.26 delivery) from the usual rain forest.
The actual albums are:
"Burning Hell (1958)",
"I'm John Lee Hooker (1959)",
"Travelin' (1960)",
"That's My Story (1960)",
"Sings Blues (1961)",
"The Folklore Of John Lee Hooker (1961)",
"Burnin' (1961)" and
"Folk Blues (1962)".
Really enjoyable, true Ed Sheehan style.. having lived in east Suffolk for the last 40 years and only a few miles from Fram I love a lot of the local references and resonances in severe all of the songs... perhaps a couple of dud tracks, but overall enjoyable. Issue over mastering though, vocals overly compressed in places with audible distortion.. really in 2017 no excuse... Ed you need a different production team!!!
Bought this in order to fill in a gap in my Emily Remler collection. This is out of print, so have had to buy secondhand and have bought on CD because I've just had my fingers burned on a secondhand vinyl purchase from Discogs described as VG+, but scratched, covered in fingerprints etc. (went straight to the charity shop). At least with a CD, so long as it rips to the NS01 it should be fine.
Regarding my Discogs experience, the seller offered to refund the purchase price if I deleted my (honest) feedback. Needless to say I refused. People need to know about these rogues.
Bolstering my classical
Vivaldi needed bolstering too.

Terry Riley - Rainbow In Cologne
A recent(ish) release of a concert from 1971. Or 1974 depending on which source!. Disc 1 is an hour long version of Rainbow In Curved Air, disc 2 is 48 minutes of The Persian Surgery Dervishes. It's a bit hissy, but that's only noticeable at the very beginning which have very quiet beginnings, and the performances are predictably mesmerising.
For anyone unfamiliar with Terry's early organ and tape loop work, the studio version of Rainbow is the place to start - a truly drug-free trip. But to aficionados this is a rare treat.

I would be interested to know what you think of the SQ and reproduction on this one Edward, I was tempted but at the moment happy enough with an early '91 CD and an SHMCD.
