I would be interested to know what you think of the SQ and reproduction on this one Edward, I was tempted but at the moment happy enough with an early '91 CD and an SHMCD.

Sorry for the late reply, not been well due to ongoing problems from my stroke that i had a year ago.

Sound Quality for an album from the early seventy's is outstanding for both cd's, base is strong vocals are clear, good instrument separation. Unfortunately i do not have any other version of this album available to compare the sound quality too so cannot say how this compares to other version of this album, all i can say with confidence is that i am very happy with the sound reproduction and wound not hesitate in recommending this version to anyone thinking of buying this album.

Hi Edward - Thanks for taking the time to reply and I do hope that you are feeling better and getting back on track now? I'm pleased you like this recent edition I had read some mixed reports about it which is why I wondered what you thought of it. I will probably sit pat as I'm happy enough with the two releases I have. On a side note I meant to drop a message to you here a month or so ago to say that you have been and are acquiring  some really good 'classic' and contemporary CDs and Hi-Res downloads at the moment, nearly all of which I have but its good to see someone building up a nice collection. Have you managed to expand your Tangerine Dream collection? Get well, take care and enjoy all that lovely music.

Currently all the Busch Quartet Beethoven CDs are just £2.99 on the Dutton Vocalion website. If you've never heard these classic recordings from the 1930s and 1940s, you owe it to yourself to treat yourself and buy one (or all of them). The SQ is amazingly good. I only had the 4th disc until today. I've now ordered 1-3 as well together with a recording of a Schubert  piano quintet and string quartet by the Bush Quartet at the same time for just 99p.

Heard this on BBC breakfast, bought the album direct from Little Sparrow, got a signed note which was nice.  Really enjoying the album.

Do I read correctly, £6 for all? any chance of a link to that as my searches return much higher prices, TIA

Yes, 4 second-hand albums for which I paid individual postage of £1.26 each and then the cost of the albums on top came to under £6. Prices fluctuate throughout the day and weeks so sometimes its worth keeping an eye on. If you go to this page linked here you will see some of her various CDs (look for the used ones) prices from 45 pence at the moment, take your pick! I have bought well over a thousand used CDs from here in recent years and never had a single problem with replay or ripping them. Happy hunting!

I was caught by a sudden memory and some nostalgia for Stewart Copeland's The Rhythmatist, which I used to have a century ago; so I bought it on Amazon. It wasn't a great album then, it is not now, but I am glad to re-acknowledge that it wasn't just Paul Simon or Ry Cooder exploring Africa's musical secrets. It hasn't Autorip, too bad.
