One word --> Guitar!

I gave a strait shot at Naim label's artist Antonio Forcione with 3 of his opus:

1- Live!
2- Touch Wood
3- Tears Of Joy

I'm waiting for them, i just ordered them from the Naim's on-line store a few hours ago. Tear Of Joy is due to arrive by the end of the month.

There is a lot of accoustic guitar in our local Quebec music and i love this instrument and peoples who master it, this is what pushed me to get the CDs of this guy. Did you ever listened to the demo track of his new album Tears Of Joy? I was still shaking in my chair few seconds after the track finished! Eek

And yes, you could expect a detailed review from yours truly when i'll grab them from the postman hands! Winker

The regretted Barry White was saying something so true into one of his hit songs; "Let the music play!" Amen brother.

Bye.

Broken Skin is excellent. The best of the three I have in fact (though I like them all). Slightly edgier than Human.

Eh hum... Roll Eyes Michael Bublé - It's time.

I tried to explain at the record store cashier that it isn't for me but for my wife, well, at least she doesn't look to care too much, so my embarassment was for only few seconds, the time to put the disk out of everyone's view into a shop bag and get outta there, and back to my anonymous intimacy! LOL

Hey, did you know that Michael Bublé's producer is David Foster?

I'm still waiting for my 3 new disks from the Naim E-Store, i expect them to arrive the first week of june. Smile

Bye.

Recent decent, enjoyed on my iPod whilst cycling around Provence these last two weeks. I just know you've missed me.

Clem Snide: The End Of Love. Rather skewed alt.americana. Lambchop on better drugs? Less folky Handsome Family. Good stuff.

Nitin Sawhney: Philtre. Took a while but has really grown on me. Not the impact of Broken Skin but overall a return to form.

Jethro Tull: Broadsword (remastered and bonus tracks).

Bruce.

Cycling round Provence sounds fab.

I played the Philtre CD today and thought was very good - particularly helped by some delicious winter weather here in Sydney as I cruised round town.

Keith Jarrett - The Birth (with Haden, Motian and Redman)

Keith Jarrett - The Mourning of A Star (with haden and Motian)

Keith Jarrett - GI Gurdjieff Sacred Hymns

Jan Garbarek/Usted Fateh Ali Khan - Ragas and Sagas

Egberto Gismonti & Academia De Dancas - Sanfona

Being a bit too young to get the early Tull albums 1st Time around Broadsword was the first I bought and I though it was brilliant (and still do). I don't know why this doesn't usually get spoken about as amongst their best.

I'd like to point out I am too young too! I own all their albums, this is the only re-master I've bought though. My old copy was in very bad condition for some reason. It sounds very sharp and tight, if slightly 'digital'. Made me have a 'Tull session' one evening and I'd agree remains one of the best of their later output. Stormwatch underrated too IMHO.

Picked up a few today. I'll break into 'em this weekend.

Audioslave - Out of Exile (the reviews seem promising)
Gorillaz - Demon Days
Holst - The Planets (Mehta)
Tom Petty - Greatest Hits

Rather ecletic I must say.

The Coral album was definitely one of my most adventurous music purchases - I've heard nothing by The Coral beforehand, just that they were going to appear on next week's Jools Holland show!!

It's quite good actually, quite distinctive. It's not out'n'out rock, it's kind of in-between, sort of folksy in places. Sorry for the lousy description but I really had no idea what to expect when I played it!
