what was the last cd you bought?

so to get things off and running
queen--the highlander sound track
3 x 3-CD Volumes.
From the usual place, a new/unused box set for £3.99 delivery included (because I threw some other needed items into the basket taking it over the £20 threshold)
Art Pepper - Today
2017 reissue, 2 copies one for normal use and one for archive/collection
Why would you want two? CDs don't wear out, unless by 'normal use' you mean placemat. It's a good album though.
For a serious collectors selaed or perfect condition items, are more attractive when you sell or exchange them.
I know one the most important Siouxsie & the B. here in Milan which normally bought 3 copies of every new release , 1 for normal use, one for archive and one if anything was going wrong or damaged
I expect Siouxsie would have been aghast if someone had told her in 1978 that people would be buying copies of her albums as an investment, but it makes sense.
A nice delivery from Naim of the following:
Naim Black Box 1 NaimBB001
50th Anniversary of the Allegri Quartet NaimCD074
The Allegri Quartet Naimcd067
More conventional fair. Vol 1 is arguably the better one, but this is still not a bad archival volume from the time.
Alison Krauss & Union Station. Every Time Yo Say Goodbye and Lonely Runs Both Ways.
Katie Melua. Secret Symphony.
Paul Simon.So Beautiful Or What.
George Strait. Somewhere Down In Texas And Love Is Everything.
All delivered this morning.
Last evening purchased a couple of CD's by Sean Rowe, Madman & New Lore. Sean was recommended in the "What are you listening to and why might anyone be interested?" thread. Gave him a listen on-line and really like what I heard.
..... now just got to wait until they appear in the mailbox....
Just bought tens of SACDs on Bis - largely music I already own as downloads, so just for the fun of being able to spin a disc.
Cheers

London Grammar 'Truth Is A Beautiful Thing'
Somehow not really clicked with me as a whole. Some great moments. Need a good long listen I think, although it feels a bit one paced and actually possibly in need of a bit of trimming. I shall persevere.
Anyone else bought this yet? It was one of my most anticipated buys of the year.

Yes its got some nice parts & the music technically is as expected from LG, beautifully atmospheric & extremely well done. But one paced as you say, I find it leaves me in need of cheering up afterwards; its not so much depressing or like a sad lost loves album (of which there are many) its just melancholic. I hope (I expect) it will grow on me

Just had the new Lindsey Buckingham, Christine McVie album arrive.
On first play, it's a very mellow version of Fleetwood Mac. Mike Fleetwood and John McVie both on the credits.
