Today, when passing by a record store, i picked up the last from Paul Anka - Rock Swings

Mr. Anka revisit some popular rock music tunes, and turn them into something he could sing in his reknown crooner/jazzy big band style.

Well, this turn to be a very good album all around, and a very entertaining experience, i recommend it! Smile

Bye.

Expat In Oz, how good is the last Dave Matthews?

I still feel the shockwave of his excellent hit album "Everyday" even after 4 years! Cool

Consider yourself lucky in Great Britain, you get the latest Cold Play before us in Canada, date of arrival: 7th of june. Razz

Bye.

Stoik - I've been playing Coldplay all day today - released here June 5th - something I like in Oz, new releases on a Sunday and I am many hours ahead of the rest of civilisation as well! I like what I have heard - more of the same, nothing too adventurous but good nonetheless.

As for Dave Matthews, played it once in the car and thought it was pretty OK. Many of the reviews on Amazon.com suggest otherwise.

Have you bought any of those jazz cd's yet?

Hey Adrian, thanks for the quick reply.

There's no audio samples of the new Cold Play yet on my favorite on-line music store. Frown Good to know you like it.

However, i found the samples for the latest Dave Matthews, and well, it's less rocky than i expected... Frown Hmm, instead i'll get that Jazz you recommended me, but i won't buy a dozen albums in a single shot like you do, i'm trying to put some $$$ on the side to get a new CD player! Winker

Bye.

Errr I really didn't think he was that great - there's an Aussie guy who's been doing this since around 10years - Frank Bennett is his stage name

much much better in my opinion

but unfortunately virtually impossible to get! Frown I missed his 2nd CD totally Frown
