so to get things off and running
queen--the highlander sound track
Thumpermonkey - Electricity (EP) New album, Feb 2018, with the last track giving a pointer to a different sound.

Garmonbozia
Tzizimime
Arvo Pärt: Tabula Rasa
Arvo Pärt: Adam's Lament
The Dears - Times Infinity Volume One
Following Yuri Gagarin, I had to listen to this. Still sounds amazing after 40 or so years, space rock at its best.
LATEST CD purchases
Lorde - Melodrama (freebie foraying LPs!!!)
and Classic Barry McGuire (Seems somewhat appropriate given the current events in the World - Eve of Destruction)

I noted you’d snaffled this on Bandcamp, and being completely shallow was intrigued by the cover. Played the preview track, loved it, pre-ordered the download. Well played that Denis!

Charlie is a truly talented musician, whose love of far eastern acoustic & percussive instrument's will be on this display for this album. He wrote the scores for all the guests on the recording & told me he hopes to have an ensemble to perform the music in spring next year. Although this album took 7 years to create/record, the next album is under way & will complete much quicker. I see Charlie regularly at gig's, with a shared interest in The Necks, Thumpermonkey, William D. Drake, North Sea Radio Orchestra, Stars In Battledress, Firefly Burning etc.
Oh & not forgetting a new band I saw him playing in - 'Lost Crowns' at the August Bank Holiday fund raising gig for Tim Smith . This is the solo project of Richard Larcombe & they were amazing, especially as it was their first 'live' performance. The album should be out next year.

Five pounds in a second hand store in Stirling.

From La Bottega Discantica. A really nice recording for chitarrone, viola and basso continuo. Especially chitarrone sound is much more natural than another recording of this pre-baroque period - The Arpa Barberini .

Out of the Cinemagic album my fave is the title theme from '3 Days of Condor'.
I have this on vinyl and sounds terrific.
For a while I was following his soundtrack work. I used to play along 'The Firm' Main theme on piano whilst blasting through the Briks in the main rig.

Rachel Grimes - The Clearing
For ages, I have only had The book of leaves, casually found in a supermarket... Recently I have contacted her, and now I know more on her music. This looks like my next buy.
Just bought Leonard Bernstein's live recording with the LAP of Appalachian Spring, Allegro and Rhapsody in Blue. It arrived yesterday and so far I have listened to it twice and I am pleased with my purchase.
Andras Schiff - Bach complete works for keyboard on Decca label.
