so to get things off and running
queen--the highlander sound track
Emmylou Harris. Wrecking Ball. 1995 HDCD. Amazing how little these old CDs fetch online. Less than $4 shipped to my front door. It would cost me more simply to get in my car and drive to a shop, and the MP3 download is more than quadruple that price.
A couple from LCD Soundsystem, taking advantage of the Music Magpie 10% off used CD promo.
LCD Soundsystem - LCD Soundsystem
LCD Soundsystem: Sound of Silver
LCD Soundsystem - This Is Happening
Didn't have anything from Stanley Cowell in my collection. Both these SH on discogs.

Florestan posted:Wilhelm Kempff (piano): Beethoven Piano Concertos - The 78-rom recordings 1925-1942
His 1925 recording of Beethoven piano concerto is the oldest I own. I have 5 other recordings of his PC1 but this one is the only time he actually plays Beethoven's cadenza albeit only on the 1st movement ( he promptly offers his own in the final movement.)
This really rocks on a Naim system! I read about it in Stereophile years ago.
Nice break from Christmas music, too.
