Not thrilled that Lubimov chose a harpsichord as his keyboard here. I like Lubimov enough that I will get this but I just wish these guys would wake up and if they want to use a keyboard other than a beautiful grand piano then why not give us both as a package and let the listener decide what they prefer?

Give it time and you'll soon see it as a natural development of the first album. I think it's a tad more refined. The first album had more immediate appeal; this one takes more time and effort, but I think it's worth it.

I agree it has 'bedded in' and I do like it a lot. CD 2 of the deluxe edition is excellent I think, the demo versions are just that bit fresher and I really enjoyed them. Made me feel the main album just lacks a bit of that edge. Touch over-produced at times?

2 cd deluxe edition. Pretty good recording with very nice midrange clarity albeit a bit bloated on mid bass if played through S600

My wife loved it on Spotify. She loved Goldfrapp on CD from the previous recommendation last Summer. Neither did much for me. I can see why you love them both.

Not a bad haul for £12.60.

Is that a Pat Metheny in the front row? Worth getting.
