Miles Davis - Round Midnight...
It is quite weird it's almost as if my ears have become accustomed to and tuned into Miles trumpet, records that I skipped through before because they sounded quite strange and totally unfamiliar now sound the opposite.
Surprisingly as he is known as a solo artist for Miles Davis always needed the correct partners to sound his very best, the work he did with Gil Evans and then of course with Coltrane and also Shorter, Hancock and Mclaughlin were all collaborations in the truest sense.

Great LP, I loved The Artic Monkeys and have all of there LP's but don't listen to them much anymore. Great live band.

Have not heard this particular title but SteepleChase records put out some great music in the 80's especially. I have all of Chet Bakers output on this label on vinyl and they are all of an excellent quality as are Duke Jordan's who despite Miles Davis's put downs is an excellent piano player.

Hi Bob, I agree with you about SteepleChase. Also George Cables is a good example with excellent output on the SteepleChase label.

Great LP you should try all of Chet's output on this label and another duo LP with Duke Norman - No Problem is well worth buying as is The Touch of Your Lips. Chet manages to make what would usually sound like an old guy running out steam sound like the most beautifully fragile vocal you ever heard.
Unfortunately though I lost whatever street cred I had left when my teenage Niece looked at this record cover.
