And I used to think Scott was easy listening = two great albums from one of the better singer/songwriters.

A sort of fan club album, available to anyone but only from her website.
KT does an acoustic album of very old songs' B side and a few new ones, recorded over a two day period 28-29 December 2005 on the Isle of Skye.

Picked up the latest Flaming Lips, "At War With The Mystics", and added the oft-recommended "The Soft Bulletin".
AWWtM is really really good and TSB is really, really, really good! Happy customer of Wayne and the boys, having originally become acquainted after buying their previous album mainly on the grounds that no album called "Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots could be all bad...

Well, it's been a while since i've post something in this section, but i think it worth the wait. So here are the CDs i've purchased since i've bought my CD5i in late december last year.
Forced i'm to say that when you finally have good playback equipment, you're getting highly motivated to get some good music for it!
One pic says it all...
Bye.

Haim, Stefan,
I can sense you are interested in ECM recordings... I bought this one a couple of weeks ago...very good percusion....and acoustics...I, played aswell in a Naim session here in Vienna (long-tone hifi):
contemporary music of Nik Bartsch’s Ronin, featuring Sha, Contrabass and bass clarinets, Bjorn Meyer bass, Kaspar Rast , drums and Andi Pupato percussion. ECM records 1939. A superb experience.
regards and...

I've been doing the same thing since I bought my CD5i. Can't make out all the CD's, but I too have bought all the Jack Johnson's, and many of the other you have their. If you find time, could you possibly make a list. We definately have similar taste and I'd like to try some othe the other you have.

Pierre Lapointe - La Forêt Des Mal-Aimés *
An artists happening - Salut Joe (Joe Dassin)

Eric Lapointe - Invitez Les Vautours
I've been very picky with those stars, those are my recommended records.
Albeith a good hits line-up, Celine Dion's and The Crawnberries's records don't receive a star, because they offer a totally crappy sound. Celine's is recorded way too loud, and clip too often on edges. The Crawnberries's one have a "wow and futher" in it worse than the worst walkman on dying batteries than i've listen to in my entire life!!! Can you believe this to be offered to honest customers in 2006???
Bye.

Thanks so much for the list. I also agree with your recommended list, many I have been wanting to get. This help me put together my wish list.
BTW, I'll add a few that I've bought recently that I've really like:
Jenny Lewis and the Watson Sisters -Rabbit fur Coat (New stuff, read about here and liked it)
Johnny Cash - Cash (never used to be be much of a country fan, but can't believe how much I enjoy this disc)
Peter Frampton - Now (The guy never got enough credit for his guitar playing and this is a good recording)
Chris Botti - To Love Again, the duets (My favorite Botti disc, many good artist appear: Sting, Paula Cole, Michael Buble, etc.)
Sting and the Police - Greatest Hits (covers them all)
Boz Scaggs - Greatest Hits Live (great sound for a live CD and Boz is timeless)
Diane Schuur - Talkn' 'Bout You (A fantastice performance when she was still with GRP, great sound).

Hi Chris,
I'm having a bit of a Mayall binge at the moment. How good is the MF CD? I find the CD I have compares very well with the vinyl I had.
How come the great man has received little recognition? Sir Mick Jagger? OK but that makes JM a Lord in my view.
Regards,
Steve

Hi Munch,
I was not living here then, but there is a good little market style record/CD shop in London Road.
My first LP was, I think, Ten Years After - SSSH! Hard earned paper round wages.
Regards,
Steve.

Failed again! Couldn't resist getting Neil Young's Weld double live cd in Borders for an incredible £4.99 - being an American company I was wondering if they were flogging his material off super cheap because of his latest rather anti establishment offering!
While there I picked up Paul Simon's Anthology double cd for a give away price and Johnny Cash's American III album. A right cheery pairing!
