My Name Is Buddy - Ry Cooder

Me too, and it is worming its way into my affections. I've a feeling it would be better if Ry Cooder had used more guest vocalists rather than his rather limited vocal talents in places but all round plenty to enjoy. Nice package too.

Also recent

The Shins 'Oh Inverted World'. Good enough but sounds like it was recorded in a tin shack.

Arvo Part 'Triodion'. Soothing ointment for the ears.

I am with you on "My Name is Buddy". Played it several times over the weekend. Full of excellent playing. Ry's voice has always been an acquired taste - luckily I acquired it in the 70s!

Got the BGO 2on1 cd of "Alone Together/Headkeeper" by Dave Mason today.

'Amor Sacro' Vivaldi/ Mottetti. Unfortunately still waiting. I caught a track from this on Classic Fm (Sat night) whilst driving home from the pictures (The Illusionist starring Ed Norton...worth seeing IMO) Anyway, back to Amor Sacro. The singing of soprano Simone Kearns is wonderful, can't wait.
