New World Record and Face The Music by ELO - very nicely packaged as two separate CDs each in their own case as 2 for 1 at £6.97. The re-masering is OK too and the bonus tracks sound better produced than some of the cuts that made it on to the original album.

Good choices worm.

Thanks - I am really looking forward to listening to them.

I try and make about half of my music purchases from artists that are new to me. I find the forum a great source for suggestions.

You definately end up kissing a few frogs but there is nothing I enjoy more than putting on a piece of music from a new (to me) artist and discovering that you love it.

Cheers

I didn't catch Later, but the album's really good. Prog for people who couldn't bear for others to think they'd bought a Prog album Winker

That was Prog? I'm with Howard on this one! Why strap on guitars and apparently not play them at all? Theye looked like a bunch of kids who had ram-raided a guitar store and were trying to figure out what all the gizmos they had nicked actually did. I'm beginning to sound like my father did 40 years ago -"Call that music?....." Roll Eyes

Led Zeppelin - The Song Remains the Same (Remastered & Extended). I'm only half-way through but this is finally the live album to rule them all. The sound is just so much better than the previous editions and the extra tracks work for a change. Looks like HTWWW was just a warm up.

Whitesnake - Live...In the Heart of the City. This is late 70s'/early 80s vintage Snake before DC went all American with Van Halen style guitarists. For me they were putting on the best live shows around at that time. Brilliant stuff.

Deep Purple - Live in Japan. Never had a copy before so couldn't resist at $9.99 for the remastered 1998 edition.

Cheers
