I just traded my nac 62/nap 90 combo for a nac 82 / nap 180 recently refurbished by Witch Hat. When setting up the system at home. The nap 180 powers up. The Naps powers on. Green light and heats up. The nac 82 however is stone dead. All cables are connected correctly. My snaic is the one from my old system. I will try to replace it but if that is not the solution what could be the problem?

I don't take a lot of notice of Facebook, but a few hours ago I got a notification that Event 'ND555 Roadshow...' was deleted . And 'deleted' it certainly is, I can't access the original posting to discover what it was I'm now no longer missing There just aren't any clues remaining. Nor is there any mention of roadshows on the main Naim site or the forum (are there?). Nope... I must have been dreaming. Has anyone else had the same dream? Roger

Hello, I bought a chord signature din to din interconnect and i notice when the cd is not playing and i turn the volume up i am getting a lot of buzzing noise coming through the speakers.II checked to see if it was a problem with the cd or amplifer sockets by exchanging the cable for naim din to din and the buzz had gone so its not a earthing issue. I recently bought my first Naim item - a secondhand CD5x, to see how it compares with my Marantz CD17 MkII KI Signature CD player. The rest of my system is Arcam A85/Arcam P85 bi-amped with Monitor Audio Gold Reference 20 speakers. Good quality interconects and speaker cables. I was hoping to prefer the Naim CD5x so I can sell the Marantz. After a lot of A-B testing, I wouldn't say I find the CD5x "better" than my Marantz, just slightly different. Some outside perspective needed. You can see my current system on my profile and as much as I would love to, I cannot afford what would ultimately be my end-game (SCM50ASL) so I have to be realistic. Realistic comes in the shape of a pair of ATC SCM19 (what drives them is the open variable). I would love the actives version but that brings a whole set of repercussions/requirements (eg. balanced output pre-amps, can't be Naim because Naim Pre can't work on their own, etc) Demo'ed the SCM19...

I have read a bit on these speakers and they look great. Unfortunately there seems to be no distribution at all in the US. Also there don't seem to be any reviews comparing vs other high quality speakers. Has anyone compared the Titans to let's say Proac D48R, K6, or K8s? Or other good speakers?

Hi, I am having difficulty confirming the Amplification rating of the Uniti Star for 4 Ohm speaker configuration. I know the unit is rated at 70 watts per channel for 8ohm. Can anyone advise. Thanks

Hello everyone I apologize in advance if the request I make may seem a little odd. I have an N-Vi (fully functional but not used because I now use an AV2 + 175V + 200) I'd like to know if I can use it only as a CD player by connecting the optical coaxial output to a DAC-V1. I know that the N-Vi CD quality would not be fantastic but at least I could use it to hear some old CDs still in my possession ... I also wanted to understand if I risk damaging it if I run it without connecting any...

Morning all I listen to vinyl mostly exclusively these days and my cd3.5 only comes to service for late night low volume listening every now and then. A week or so ago I decided to switch it off for lack of use but last night I turned it back on only to find out it won't read any cd's anymore. There's no disk spin and the Err message comes on straight away once you close the drawer and press play. I left it powered on all night and a while ago I tried it again and guess what it's working...

Hi guys, I have the ooportunity to purchase a good pair of both speakers, but I cannot audition either of them as both will be shipped from overseas. Therefore, I am looking for advice as to which of these will suit my room. My room is 3.2 metres by 3. Yes, unfortunately a small square room. I have a black faced Supernait which is the previous model to the Supernait 2. I noticed that the power cord and DIN jacks at the rear panel and the power switch are loose at the back panel. Am I correct that this is part of the Naim’s design philosophy to reduce microphonic noise signals? Another item of question is the motorized volume control seems quite slow when using the remote. The volume control was adjusted by hand and I am not sure if this may have damaged the motorized control.

Hello everyone, I have recently tried a supra lorad power cord on my nap 250.2, wilst the rest of the cables are the standard ones. Despite some negative feedback I have read until now, the result is good. The sound goes natural, deeper and more detailed. All the connections are linked to wireworld matrix2.
