Hello Naim-users, i am recently a proud member of a naim muso. Best! I am very happy. I have some ideas on how the app would be better: - a widget for ios (enable/disable muso, louder/quiter, silence on/of), switch entrance - important! - change the radio apps via drag & drop (change order by moving) - a global search or a search with an country, ... for radio stations by name The most import is a volume normalizer. If a have digital, bluetooth, airplay - if i switch the volume has...

I've been running asset on a Qnap TS 231 since buying my 272 a year or so ago. For the better part of a year it has been bullet proof. Annoyingly (for no reason I can fathom), in the last couple of months my music library (and server) has started disappearing from the Naim (IOS) app. I have to restart the NAS to get the Naim app to see the server again and be able to stream music from it. The issue did not coincide with a software update to either Asset or the Naim app - I'm running Asset...

Hi all, Just playing some music on my Muso, via itunes and airplay and have noticed the volume is much quieter than before, to the point i have the volume on the slider nearly half way on the Apple remote App on IOS to have decent volume. Only noticed this since the App update last week. iRadio seems to still be ok. Anyone else noticed this?

My Uniti core works fine when used as a UPNP server. Navigation to an through music and adjusting volume works as expected. When connection the Core via the BNC connection to my 272 I'm losing comfort significantly. Using the Core section of the app I can select songs and skip forward, backward etc as – unfortunately I have no control on the volume. Either use the classic (infrared) remote or switch the app towards the 272 in order to control volume. Skipping a song forced me into the Core...

Hi everyone, I'm guessing a network issue, but my new muso (running wireless from a synology nas) can't seem to resist playing about 30 secs of a song then skipping to the next. Was fine last few days. Todays it's a pain in the ar$E. Can't seem to stop it. I choose an album, hit play in first track & then get treated to a 30ish sec intro of each track in sequence. The router doesn't have Internet yet, and the muso says there's an update to be had, but seems odd how it's been fine last...

Hello, My music library has approx 1000 folders. The Naim app (view by folder) lists approximately half of them - tried different devices (Android, iOS) and different DLNA servers (Twonky, Plex) on NAS hardware. However, Bubble uPNP on (Android) lists all my entries. Has anyone got an idea ? Thanks Benoit (SuperUniti, latest firmware and Harbeth P3ESR)

Dear All, came home the other evening to an empty house with RSwissJazz FM playing merrily on my NDX. I know for sure that I had turned off the radio after a brief listening session the day before. This is not the first time this has occurred. I always use the remote to stop the stream from the NDX, whether uPnP or iRadio and I (usually) turn the volume down to zero. I would say that I have observed this behaviour at least a half dozen times or so over the last year. Anyone else had this ...

I've downloaded lots of Bandcamp music (all in FLAC), put it in the US Downloads folder and played it via the Naim app into a Mu-so. All downloads are run through Metadatics first. However this download does not show up in the app. The tracks will play in other apps - like VLC - on a MacBook. Any ideas appreciated.

Simple question, I've just picked up an NDS, which DIN input should I plug it into on my Supernait? The HDD or an Aux input? Does it make any difference? Thanks

Naim, When are you going to update the Android version of the app with the same functionality of the IOS version ? Android has for some considerable time taken the larger slice of the mobile OS pie. I’m feeling, in a way, ripped off that you seem, to me, to be purposely ignoring the Android users of your products. Please, Naim, get with the program and get the Android app up to its rightful version.

Had a chance to play around with the new Uniti Core last evening. Let me first say it sounds fantastic, looks amazing, and I think overall it is a great value. One interaction gripe; if you access content on the UC, through a 272, and you select by artist or album, etc.. you are first met with "Other Albums Available on Tidal" and "Other Artists You May Be Interested In", and then, only after you scroll down through this tree is your personal content shown. This, to me, feels invasive and...

Just updated my iPad and I don't see how to navigate in tidal. It just takes me to what's new. I can't access discovery or my playlists. What am I doing wrong?

I stream Tidal (Hi Fi) to my Unitiqute2 via Bluetooth to get round dropouts experienced with the Naim Tidal app. When I stream from an Ipad the Unitiqute2 shows AAC on the track display but if I stream from my Samsung S6 it shows Apt-x and sounds much better. Am I correct in thinking that AAC from an iPad compresses the HiFi stream from Tidal much more than Apt -x from an Android device?

Having been the owner of a Unitiserve for some time now, I have finally taken the plunge and purchased a NAS to ensure I have a reloadable backup should there be any future problem. Hands up, I'm not familiar with the world of NASs and have bookmarked ChrisSU's helpful overview post from March last year. Progress - I've now got a Synology DS115j, with 2TB WDRed storage fitted, sitting on my network, with all the recommended packages installed even though my immediate priority is to get a...

Hi everyone, Got my MuSo today & can't seem to set it up. Got a synology Nas & tried at first to connect directly to MuSo. With light came on but no upnp light on input. Tapping the input button simply lights up each of the three lights. Light on side of muso is white. So I then connected via a router (I do not have an Internet connection). All looks OK on router but same result on MuSo. App seems useless. It just takes me to a screen where it says if I have a white light then all is...

The release notes for v5.3 of the app mention this has been fixed. I'm sure that's good news, but what is it? Like many other I'm sure, playlists within the app are a bit of a mystery. It's easy to create them in the app, but it's also easy to lose them. I had a large one set up for a house party but it seems to have been lost in the upgrades to v5 and beyond. So what's the functionality mentioned in the title?

The notion of "bit perfectness" pops up over and over again in this forum, for instance, when discussing features of CD ripping software. I do not know precisely what it means for a rip to be bit perfect and I have the impression that other contributors might be in a similar situation. Thus, the aim of this thread is to achieve some shared understanding of what it means for files obtained by ripping CDs to be bit perfect . To this end, it seem to me purposeful trying to answer the following...

On the latest Naim App v 5.4 (when using Mu-so), there is a setting called 'Cleaning mode' - Settings > Other Settings > Cleaning mode I've absolutely no idea what this is and if enabled, it makes no difference to the sound (currently just using iRadio, until NAS is re-installed). I don't think it has anything to do with Cache, since there is a separate option to Clear image cache Finally, there is another option entitled Tap for options ... which again (in the words of 'Toyah' 1981)...

Whilst my NDX is being checked for a recurring "fault 36" problem and sent back to HQ my dealer has generously lent me an HDX as a substitute. Despite my NDX being powered by an external PS (ND5 XS) i have the distinct feeling that the HDX is providing a more impactfull and dynamic sound. Really impressed - not bad at all considering that the DAC in the NDX is presumed to be better.

I'm unable to access any network shares from my Uniti Core. This was fine when I inboxed the Core at my office and installed it over there (could see Mac (AFP), Windows (SMB) shares plus NAS shares from both QNAP and Synlogy. Importing music worked fine. Now - once I moved the Core home to another network. I can't see anything. I have 2 Macs and 2 Qnaps. Each and every device sees and connects each other easily - they all see and access the Core's Downloads and Music folder. It's just the...

Hi, I've recently bought an N272 which I'm using wired to my ASUS router through the mains. I'm experiencing intermittent drop-off from an iradio connection and wondered whether anyone can help me to identify what the problem is and how I can resolve it. I've spoken to my ISP who claim there are no connection issues. I've also been in contact with ASUS who suggested a firmware update which I've done but without improvement. Can anyone who has had experience of this make some suggestions to...
