I had a search round the forums and didn't find anything (not that it isn't there). I've noticed using Tidal streaming I get dropouts which isn't surprising considering what I've read. The iOS/Android apps support an offline mode where you can download albums/songs to play in the Tidal app, they're encrypted when they're downloaded which is fair. Hi all, Seems the internet gets busy every weekend and listening to my regular BBC Radio 2 shows on Saturday evenings continues to be a pain from buffering on my MUSO. The Naim app indicates I have to reconnect manually using the iPad or iPhone or the MUSO itself. Is this correct? My Roberts Radio iSteam automatically reconnects when buffering is over etc. Keep having to get up off the settee with the MUSO. I've just moved over from a cd5xs and Flatcap xs to an Ndx with xps dr as my new source. My dealer has loaned me a chord epic Ethernet cable to try from the Melco. He has offered me a Sarum cable to try also, I don't mind spending the extra but just thinking it may be over specced for my system, I wouldn't want to spend the extra to not really get the full benefit of a top end cable? I've been paying less attention to hi fi hardware and software for a few months now . . . and realized that a few things were not up to date. I updated Asset Server on my QNAP nas to the R5 version (Premium Registered). I immediately noticed that it now sends initially-looking goofy icons to the Naim App for such items as Artist/Album, Album, Genre, etc etc. The icons for the letters of the alphabet are similarly new and a bit goofy. I used to be able to use the Airplay in itunes in Win7 to stream music from from PC to MU-SO. However, it is not working for somehow reason. I can still see the Airplay logo and my MU-SO in the Airplay drop-down menu, but after selecting the MU-SO, the sound still comes from my PC speaker, not the MU-SO. I have my win7 itunes updated, it doesn't help. The airplay feature in my MACBOOK and IPAD works perfectly fine with the MU-SO. Anyone knows how to solve this problem? Many thanks.

By damaged I mean having a crack in them. In trying to get a disk out of the packaging a small crack (say about 1cm) developed from the centre of the cd outwards. I thought I would still try and rip it - good test of the HDX's error correction abilities. The machine thought about it for a while and then seemed to spin the disc at very high RPM - quite unlike any speed I have heard it achieve before. Hi, Warning - newbie question. After updating the SuperUniti software a while back I now see that the setup I had for backing up the Unitiserve to a WD My Book Live is no more (please don't ask..) I am now on a MacBook Air using n-serve. Any guidance on how to configure this appreciated. I can see the WD drive and unit on the network via laptops and all apps. I did not initially see the hype or excitement around the Uniti Core, it seemed the least exciting of the new uniti range - a warmed up uniti serve doing mostly what a synology does. However a listen and comparison at my dealer revealed what a great value and cool device this is. When directly connected via digital to a DAC V1 or 272 it is clearly exceeds the NDX and is on par with the NDS at minimum. The resolution and detail improvements were clearly there and amazing. Hi, I have a NDS/555PS DR, with a cheap 15m ethernet cable and TP-LINK WR1043ND v2 router. Two strange things are happening (strange because it's the opposite of what most people here report): 1. I get much better results when using Wi-Fi with the NDS (and no drops at all). 2. I get much better results when using MacMini + Asset instead of using Synology 213j NAS + Synology media server. My questions: 1. Adding a switch (Netgear, Cisco, etc.) will bring any improvement? If so - which model?
