Streaming Audio

When I first installed the QNAP NAS and transferred my files to it, I was able to stream music to my Unitilite for several weeks, and then it stopped working. I’m not sure exactly what caused it to go wrong but I was in the process of adding more music files to the QNAP and I upgraded the firmware once during that period. The problem occurs for ALAC and AAC files, but at the moment I have only two sample files from QNAP on the NAS. The current status is: QNAP HS-251+ on latest version 4.2.2...

Dear all again! Recently had troubles with album art and meta data, which did not appear in the Naim app. Got a excellent suggestion to reinstall all the files from the MyBook NAS. Managed to rebuild the file directory from the MyTwonky-interface. The whole thing looked lovely for a second and I was able to play the CD.s, with album art and all metadata. The Cd.s were better organised but the fonts had changed somewhat (to the better) on the app. Now there seems to be two different copies on...

I add new music in fits and starts, and "Recently Added" was a go-to 'tag' when I used the uServe. Now that I'm using Asset on a QNAP, such is not available (or I've not figured it out). I want my "Recently Added" back! Any tips?

Hi everybody I have a Unitiqute2 running on the latest firmware (version 4.4); also the Naim app used is the latest version (5.1). I also have a Spotify Premium subscription, which I used with no issue for about a year. Now I have this problem: pressing on the Spotify connect logo, the Qute appears between the devices available, but if I then press the Qute logo, nothing happens and I get a timeout after waiting about ten seconds. Hello out there! I have successfully been ripping my CD.s via dBpoweramp to my NAS (WD - MyBook) and streaming with my Uniti. However, all images and metadata are gone since 3 months and I just cant correct this problem. Could anyone please give me clear hands-on ideas on how I should proceed with this matter. I am listening to Mahler 2/ Rattle using Nstream. I would like to be able to see the the timing of the remaining tracks. I can see a list of course, but that gives no sense of the remaining time. Is there any setting which will show this?

Sorry, Internet has been off for days and I've been busy over Xmas. Internet returned yesterday and my Naim app seems to now be v5.1. There seems to be no facility for swapping 'rooms' (streamers) I'm looking everywhere but where is it? I'm currently stuck with the qute in the bedroom and cannot control the others. Everything can be controlled by my wifes iPad (which as yet hasn't updated itself) so the devices are still as they were, as is the network. Sorry if this has been posted already...

Got two Rod Stewart CDs my other half likes, and I cannot rip them ?? I use dbPoweramp and have ripped over 600 CDs without too many issues over last few months. Does pass 1 & 2 then " RE-rip 173 frames" or 70 or 90.......................... This happens with every track on both discs ??? Is there any way to get these two discs copied please ? Thanks Al

I've recently installed JRiver on my Windows laptop (about 600 albums there already) along with the app on my iPad and iPhone. I can of course connect any of these to my 102 pre amp with a good lead. But I would like to try connecting via my home wifi but guess I would need a dac and a wifi receiver...

Out of the blue, my HDX seems determined not to recognise any CD, when inserted for ripping duties. I've tried several different CDs , but "no disc present" persists. Any ideas chaps?

I've been trying to rip a CD using DB Power amp and transferring it to my QNAP to play via Asset (something that has worked for a number of CD's in the last day or so). This particular CD (which is pretty long - 16 tracks by Jonas Kaufmann) shows on DB Power Amp as having been ripped successfully, and when I look on the QNAP file station it shows all 16 tracks. However, when I look on the NDX (either via the Naim App or just using the remote/control panel) I can only see 5 tracks. I've tried...

I have an older version of the NaimUniti and therefore to stream Spotify from my iPad I have to link the iPad via Airplay to Apple TV, which is then connected to the Uniti via a Netgear switch. I often get a lot of buffering this way, can anyone offer a solution. I don't experience any buffering when listening to Spotify directly from the iPad, so that in my view excludes the WiFi signal strength as an issue. Would upgrading the Uniti board resolve this?
