Streaming Audio

Is there any way to have the display always off, even when we remotely control the NAC-N by the App? It seems to me not possible, the shortest Auto off is 10 sec. and I don't like the flickering. - provocation mode on - Apart waiting it goes off due to wearing, just after the warranty time... - provocation mode off - Merry Christmas

Upgraded to IOS v5.0 and the search function in Tidal has vanished (it's not on the "T" menu in the upper right like in used to be). Can someone point me to where it went? Thanks, Dan

As an early adopter of the Unitiserve, and still happily using it, I was just wondering what the newly announced Uniti Core might be ? Good to see that NAIM haven't thrown in the towel with music servers, as some had predicted they would. After a quick look at the new announcement it seems like a new UServe. But I wonder what might be the difference between the Core and the Serve ? It does have a linear PS. Any ideas ? Paul

I’m trying to decide on the purchase of a cheap (by Naim standards) streamer. So why ask on a Naim forum? I think you’re more likely to understand what I’m looking for!!! System is 72/Hicap/140 (yes, old but all serviced!) playing through Rega Mk 1.5 Elas. For serious listening I have a modest LP12, Akito, DV20XH, Linn Lingo 1 (serviced) all rebuilt by Cymbiosis. I'm just about to have a move around of our kitchen and dining room systems. I want to know the best way to connect my Windows desktop PC to my Qute. I currently have a Cambridge Audio DAC100 feeding the analogue inputs of a Denon unit, and I could just carry on with this method, but what are my alternatives if I wanted to take a digital signal into the Qute? I've just downloaded this new version of the Naim app and it's a mess. When selecting an album to play, the album's picture appears on the screen in the correct position, centered with respect to the track listing for a split second and is then shunted up until the top of it is underneath the banner that has the album title and artist on it. hi all, I have a query regarding the Naim App on iPad, i woke up this morning Sunday 18th and went to put some music on and found the app would not open, I tried several times but to no avail. i then deleted the app and re downloaded it and hey presto music but...... the app has changed layout and format is different. has anyone else had this happen lately? hilary

Hello, did anybody have this problem with his uniti (or other naim streamer) and knows what could cause this issue? My uniti 1 (with streaming hardware v3) loses the network connection frequently since 2 or 3 weeks. Streamed music stops playing. If I switch to internet radio or back to upnp the uniti says that it wants to initialize the network again, but nothing happens anymore. I have to turn the device off and on again. Then it works fine again until the next time (maybe 3 or 6 or more...

Hello all, Am currently running x2 optical inputs into UQ2 (PC and Xbox One) and coax digital out from UQ2 to Supernait. In the UQ2 Setup Menu - I have "Speakers" set to None. Just looking for a sanity check here...is this the best way? Or am I best served putting my sources directly into the Supernait?

I've read a lot of favourable comment on Roon and was wondering if their is any word on a software update for the Naim media players. I know so little about Roon I'm not even sure it could be used in the Naim ecosystem? Cheers from sunny Australia Kenn

My kit includes NAP300-DR, CDS3-DR, NAC 282-DR, I may get NAC-552 in coming weeks. I will not be adding NDS or its successor for 12 to 18-months, but would like to begin ripping and storing my CD collection via UnitiServe. I do not have digital audio player and therefore assume I will not be able to hear and confirm that storage is working. I have iPads, but not sure that is relevant. Has anyone on Forum done this and does anyone have any thoughts?

Hi, Got this today and it streams Radio Paradise perfectly at 320kbp/s and I've just tried to stream a ripped CD from my NAS and it plays about 3 seconds then stops for 6 then plays another 3 then stops for 6 and continues in this fashion. It's a red book CD, ripped to FLAC and transcoded on my NAS to WAV. Is this beyond the capabilities of the Mu-so Qb? One other thing, when using my UQ2, I disabled the slider volume bar on the Naim app. I can't seem to disable it for the Mu-so.

I connected my 12-year-old 4th generation ipod to mu-so, apparently it doesn't support. Just wondering is there anyway to work around? Thanks.

I don't know why it occurs some error all the time. Only with VPN service everything is working fine. Does enyone know what is going on? Appreciate for any suggestion.

Hi I rather like Foobar as my upnp server(?). It's quick and easy. However with the Naim ( Android) app I can't get it to display artwork, like Asset does. I've trawled the Foobar site and though there are hundreds of add-os I cant find one which does this Does anyone know how to do this? Many thanks

Long time lurker first time poster. I have a 272 into active ATC SCM50SLs in the drawing room and a Mu-So in the bedroom*. I also live on rural broadband and get poor bandwidth at best - between 2Mb/s and 10Mb/s depending on weather, tree growth alongside overhead wires and the whims of Openreach. Hallo, Proud owner of the Superuniti and a Nas which transcodes from flac to wav. On this moment very much interested in the new Nova. This means i will work via usb harddisk but what about transcoding then. Can the Nova do it or not??? I believe that going from flac to wav via nas sound better.

We just purchased a Qb and love it. I would like to set up a basic, first time NAS/Music server and I have some very basic questions. Both the HD and 135kbps BBC Radio 3 streams have been down all day, although On Demand is working. Is anyone aware of any problems at Naim HQ or elsewhere? Other BBC stations I've tried appear to be working.

Seems to have disappeared from play store if you do find it you can't download it just keeps coming up with an error code 940 ??
