Streaming Audio

From the UnitiServe manual 'The Desktop Client is covered in a separate manual that can be downloaded from the Naim Audio web site at www.naimaudio.com.' I can't find this. Can anyone help? Running n-Serve on a Mac.

Anyone have any thoughts as to the new app ...is it likely that older products will be accessible via the new app ? Or will those with a mix of old and new Uniti products have to use multiple apps ?

I have not downloaded many DSF music files up to now, because although albums presented in DSF format in my experience tend to sound superb, only one of my streaming systems (microRendu/Hugo) is able to play the format. The Linn Klimax in my other system cannot play DSF files. There are a number of albums from Blue Coast Music that I would love to download in DSF format, and it occurs to me that I could potentially download the albums in DSF format for use via my microRendu/Hugo, and convert...

Hi everyone, I'm a first time Naim user and also new to streaming. Bought a Unitilite, initially with an Innuous Zen Mini until I discovered this would not play Windows formatted files. So I decided to upgrade to a UnitiServe. Having ripped my CD collection I decided to load up the U/S with a couple of files from my laptop ripped using Windows Media Player into WMA lossless format. Having owned both units ( love em ) here are a few tips. Firstly, try not use the supplied mains cables. Using better quality mains cables made a significant improvement to both mine. Do not go too expensive, used a couple of £50 ish upgraded figure of eight mains cables which tightened the sound up no end. Next, the Mu-so benefits from that old tip, Blutak. Hi, I'm looking for a tool that will split a dff file based upon its cue file, without converting it to another format i.e leaving it in dff (or dsf) format. Does anyone know of such a tool because I can't seem to find one. I read that Audiogate 4 could do it but it doesn't open cue files. Foobar will do it but only via conversion, Cue splitter doesn't support dff, ... Any help would be appreciated. Stefano

just collected our newly repaired uniti serve from Analogue Seduction in Whittlsey....Ten out of ten to the guys at Naim..they have repaired the unit AND managed to recover all the music ! Result ! no details of the actual repair..so how do I know what size the hard drive is now ?..it was 1tb originally ,also the front panel now sports a pinhole below the cd slot..is this to eject cd's ?..in an emergency ? if so what do I use ? A while ago I purchased my first digital download to the Unitiserve. Until that point, I'd only used it for ripping CDs. I purchased an album from 7digital and the zip file duly arrived on my iMac., unpacking into a folder (the artist name), containing a folder (the album name), containing 6 tracks (.mp3 files). I had to power down my HDX last night. After I pressed/held the power switch, I noticed 2 things: It took a long time, subjectively, to power down; It got very noisy, with what sounded like the CD mechanism spinning up, but could have been the fan. I just changed the motherboard on my Thecus N4800 NAS as the network interface failed. Now that the NAS is back up, all the tracks in my playlists in the Naim iOS App show a yellow triangle stating "This track is not available as the server is offline. Do you wish to remove:" I don't understand why this should be the case as the NAS has the same network name and IP address and the Twonky server on the NAS has the same name. After previous problems of U/S not connecting to the internet following a new router being installed which now seems to be fixed, I still have a couple of albums being incorrectly id'd / tagged despite using AMG's database. These are Jack Savoretti's latest album and Bowie's Blackstar. I can't believe either of these are not on the AMG database - any idea how to get them correctly tagged?

Hi, I'm using an external disk in my network to do this backup-job for my UnityServe. For that I have two problems: Unity-Serve has two folders "Music" and "Download". The automatic backup-funktion works only for the "Music" folder, but I'd llike that BOTH folders should be included in the automatic backup. Secondly the Unity-App (Version 4.9) shows not only what I have on the UnityServe, but as well the bacuped music... means many of the albums are annoyingly shown twice - how can I avoid...

For a long time I've been a happy user of Tidal on the Unitiqute 2. However, a few weeks ago it suddenly stopped working. Any songs I am trying to play result in a message: 'Can't play. Track skipped'. Anyone any idea what could cause this and how to repair? I am running app version 4.9 and streamer version 4.4.00, which seem the latest. There is info around new firmware for the Muso, but not the Unitiqute? Tidal is running well in his own Mac/iphone apps.

Does anyone know what the current status of the (delayed?) Tidal firmware update is? Has it gone back to beta testing? Can the beta testers reveal anything yet?
