Streaming Audio

My Muso has disappeared from my list of rooms, however, it is still connected to my wireless network as I can manually turn on internet radio from the selection knob on the top of the unit, and it will play etc. I have tried numerous times to do a reset / setup on the unit using the little light / button on the side of the Muso... every time when I do this, the setup errors during the "airplay speaker" part of the setup when my iPhone is supposed to be transferring the information regarding...

I bought an M2Tech HiFace with a BNC output to connect my MacBook Pro to my nDac. I use iTunes. After the music plays for a few minutes it cuts out and the computer can no longer find the HiFace. At first I thought it might be my laptop, so I tried my wife's MacBook Air. Same problem. So I sent the HiFace back and exchanged it for a new unit. Same problem again. For the past month or so I've been experiencing a problem with Naim's controller app whereby requesting an album's metadata causes the App to close after a few seconds of trying to locate the booklet. Upon reopening the app afterwards I get a message telling me the app "quit unexpectedly" and asking if I want to send a report of this fault. I've also noticed that newly ripped CDs are more frequently failing to locate cover art after ripping than was the case before. Previously it would fail...

Seems the Android app has been updated as well as the iOS version. Some new backgrounds (which has made me wonder why there aren't any more obviously 'Naim' backgrounds - a logo or something), and apparently it should now work with Nougat devices. I don't have a Nougat device to check, but thought I'd flag it up for those who do.

since yesterday something strange happened with my naim app; every time when I'm trying to check the info about some albums - not all (metadata via Rovi) the app shuts down. Is any one here who has this kind of experiance? (Ipad mini 1st generation) regards, Kacper

i bought this Beethoven Piano Trios (Hybrid SACD) recently, but found i couldnt rip it in my US. Other CDs i bought at the time ripped OK. what i want to know is, if i were to rip it using something like dBpoweramp or similar -- and then simply copy the .wav file to my music library on my NAS, would this work? sorry -- this is probably a noddy question... enjoy... ken

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere. Following adding iOS 10 to my iPhone I can no longer reorder playlists (with a long press on a track and moving it up/down) created in the Naim App (v4.8). I'm certain I could do it using iOS9.x and I don't think anything else has changed. Has anybody else come across this?

Hi Just tried to backup my server (QNAP) files USB --> External Drive I have done this 2 or 3 times before with no issues:- I created a folder on the External drive (as I have done before) and just did a real time backup 45mins later the status is "Standby" I have now tried twice with the same result Under "Job Logs" it states " Destination does not support changing file mode! Hi all I have a Super Uniti in the lounge and a Qb in the kitchen. When i first added the Qb, it linked up and worked perfectly. For no clear reason, about 3 months in, the devices stop linking properly (for multi room). The app still works. I can still see both devices/rooms. I can play the SU and the QB independently and I can sometimes (let's say 30% of the time)' play the Qb and then extend/ link it to the SU..... I decided to take the plunge and wave goodbye to my CDX/XPS combo. Went out and bought a ND5XS and XP5XS. Hope someone here can help me! I've just connected my Muso QB as per instructions and I'm able to play music via UPnP, Spotify, iRadio and via the USB port ... BUT i can't control the volume level, this seems to be fixed at a low level and increasing the volume via the app or via the volume control on the Muso or by increasing the volume on iPhone makes no difference - Quite frustrating!! How do I upload allready ripped CDs from an USB stick? I can copy them to the NAS but the HDX doesnt see the copied files. I am Building a MP3 libery for my iPhone. I chose the 224 kbps option. Which option comes closest to the Apple Lossless? Thank you Jesper

All, Confused as to what's suddenly happened when using my iPad to control NAC272. It was working perfectly fine selecting music from my NAS until I changed my router and braodband supplier, which shouldn't make any difference of course once you have connected your iPad to the wifi which works fine. The 272 is network wired to a network switch which is obviously connected the the router. All other equipment wired to the network switch works perfectly so I'm pretty sure there is no faults...

Well maybe, but yesterday I imported my backed up music library from a USB 3.0 external drive into a Melco N1A. The library consists of about 2,100 CDs ripped via my Userve, together with 400+ 24 bit downloads. The import took the best part of an uneventful 24 hours. Now that we have iOS 10, please may we have control for the Naim App as a separate page in the control panel flipped up from the bottom of an iPad/iPhone screen? This would avoid having to go back into the App to change volume etc. This would be most useful. Tim

Hi there, since a while after reseting the Naim app at my Ipad or Iphone, the unit (ND5XS) can't be found automaticly, I have to type details (name of the unit and IP address) my self. What can be the reason of that, it can be the settings of router/modem or the streamer? regards, Kacper
