Streaming Audio

i recently purchased the new Avec Sans album and loaded it into my UnitiServe - it copied fine, but the web lookup failed to discover the album in any shape or form. I.e. Unknown artist, Unknown album, no track info. its not the first time this has happened and its massively frustrating. is there anyway of getting album details up onto the database? Certainly in the case of Avec Sans their promo only CDs are found no problems. So I am supra see the general release album is not ..... Help!

Hi I'm about to take my first step into Naim streaming starting with my office system which is currently Sonos Connect amp driving Neat Iota speakers on my desktop, speakers on Iso acoustics stands. The Connect amp will be replaced by a UnitiQute 2. My house currently has 5 Sonos zones all working well and have been for many years. I've had a few strange issues over the last weeks and I'm just wondering if anyone had any ideas why it might be happening. My NDX is hard wired to the router via a switch, as is my Unitiserve, and I'm on fibre broadband, so network speeds are not usually a problem. Its only happened over the last few weeks, but I seem to get buffering issues when streaming from albums stored in my Downloads folder on the US. They are all Hi Res 96/24 or 192/24 where I am getting this by the way. CD rips on...

Sorry if this has been asked before or if I'm just being a bit slow. When using the Naim android ap with a UnitiQute and innuos Vortexbox I am finding it impossible to locate and play mixed artist compilation albums as a whole. This only seems to apply to albums where there are multiple artists. I can find individual tracks or artists and play them but am unable to find and play the album in its entirety. Hi All, Long time Naim user first time poster. I've set up a Raspberry Pi2b with HIfiberry Digital DAC (transformer version) to stream music into a recently purchased a used Naim Ndac. After about 6min and 20secs music stops for about 0.5sec and then continues but the sync light on the panel switches off. The only time sync light remains on is with 24bit material. Just doing an update on Tidal and apparently Chromecast is now included. I could do it before via Chromecast app on Android but not on IOS and not directly from Tidal App Just tried it and it works! Yay

Received my ND5-XS last week and set up UPNP from my mac desktop iTunes folder using Asset UPNP over hard wired ethernet. The sound quality is superb, especially from Apples lossless ripped CD's. However, I am worried that the output volume is too high particularly when using internet radio. Morning All, I have finally given up on the Naim App playlist function as it constantly loses tracks from its playlists. Reading from advice here, I decided to build an m3u playlist within my music folder on the NAS. So, I have used Audio Station within my Synology NAS to build the playlists and all the tracks appear as .m3u files within the playlists. Hi All, Any idea when the Mu-so (Qb) goes into "deep-sleep" mode? I looked up the manual of my Qb but couldn't find anything. The Qb is now for more than 16 hours in stand-by and is still in stand-by as I still see the IP address in my attached device list of my router (and it appears also on the app). Thanks, Kurt

I'm currently using the Naim Desktop Client with Windows 7. Trying to decide whether to update to Windows 10 since the deadline for free updates is approaching next week. Are there any issues with the Desktop Client after updating to Windows 10? Can I expect to do the update and have a seamless transition or has anyone encountered problems? Thanks.

Hello, I had manually added a naim streamer with a static IP address in the naim app (Android) because I had the feeling that it would be found more quickly. Now the streamer has changed (modified hardware) so that I have two naim streamers listed in the naim app. a) the manually added old entry b) the automatically found new device I cannot find a way to remove the old entry. Is there a trick to do this? (It is not really a big problem, but I would like to clean up there.) Thank you Gert

Apologies if this has gone before - but what is the correct slide position for grounding on my NDX? My Nac-52 has the NDX, a tape deck and an LP12/Prefix connected (powered via socket 2b). The grounding wire from the LP12 is screwed into the black connector at the back of the Nac-52.

Hi, I am taking delivery of a new Supernait 2 this afternoon and will be using my Unitiqute 2 as a pure source in the short term. I'd very much appreciate if someone could give me a simple "idiots guide" to the set up procedure that I need to do between the two boxes, which input to use on the Supernait, Settings that I need to do on the Unitiqute etc.... I'm currently cleaning up my US prior to selling it and can find no way to delete all the albums in the MQ folder except by deleting them individually with the browser app. I'm a MAC user and the Finder doesn't allow me to delete them and neither does the n-Serve app. The Downloads folder was easy .. but MQ not so .. The documentation seems to indicate it's a one by one task .. does anyone know another route perchance ?

Well, I'm due to pick up an ex-dem NDX in the next couple of days, to replace my ND5XS. I put down a small deposit on it at the start of the year and have waited patiently since then. What should I expect, in your opinion and experience, from this upgrade? Any top tweaks I should know about?

I have a qnap TS119P 11 NAS with qnap assett installed. This serves ripped cd to my NDX. Iast night I tied the Tunein feature on the NAS to get Internet radio. It is listed on the nstream tree so no problem in getting it. The problem is that it drops out every few seconds and then restarts. Using the qnap app I found that when streaming IR the processor was at 100%. Am I right in assuming that the NAS processor is insufficient for streaming IR or is there something I need t configure on...

Just about to buy a QNAP TS - 251 (2 bay) into which I am going to put (in one of the bays) a WD 8TB Red. Install Asset. Not interested in RAID so it will be backed up by an 8TB external hard drive. I have just over 6TB of music! So my question is for a music only streaming server, as detailed, above will 1GB of Ram be enough? Thanks for any views, Andy

I have been trying to listen to BBC county cricket coverage on my 'Qutes. But I cant log into my account. I've tried via the Naim app BBC stations but that brings up music. But I can listen to them on my iPhone via the website. Can anyone help me please?

We have a Virgin 'Super'hub 2 that we use in modem mode, with a router attached. The Hub is a huge clompy affair so I thought I'd try to find a compact alternative. Virgin won't supply them, but their support guy said that lots of their customers use alternatives, and suggested Netgear. But try as I might, I can't find one anywhere. I'd ideally like something that is small, cheap, and doesn't need configuring - just attach the coax cable from the wall, and an Ethernet lead to the router.

I'm looking for a very low power NAS solution just to provide my music library to our Sonos system. Ideally self contained, single drive. Noise or looks not an issue. Having had a quick look around most seemto be packed with features (cloud etc) i just don't need. Happy to DIY too if an RPI solution would fit the bill. I do have a NAS already but it's an old, reasonably power hungry Netgear NV+ which is only used these days as the master library when ripping and cloning to my Melco and USB...
