This is working out well for renaming WAV files in my library, has anyone else used this at all? Like many before my Qobuz WAV downloads just don't get seen correctly in Minim or N1A Twonky, I do prefer to keep WAV as the Master file format through choice (as not everything I use has FLAC-WAV conversion) and have found both dBpoweramp and Metadatics both help get me the WAV files correctly named and in the order etc and I can rename WAV to my preference for viewing. Just wondered if anyone...
Hi All! So I brought home my new Mu-So yesterday and so far I'm quite blown away by it :) I came from a NAD VISO 1 AP / SB Touch setup and was looking for a little more audiophile experience (all my proper hifi stuff has been boxed away for few years as I moved home to save on $$). Definitely an UPGRADE. I know it's only been about 24 hrs, but wow - I love the clarity, detail, and separation (it helps that the Mu-So is as wide as it is), and clean bass response. This is the first Naim kit...
I have a UQ2 and tonight every single internet radio station disconnects after a few minutes and I have to click the 'Reconnect' button. It's not like it drops to 0% then starts again, it's cutting connection completely. I have no internet issues I'm aware of. I played an online game for 3 hours tonight with 23 other people and never disconnected once yet the internet radio stations were dropping all the way through. I ended up streaming my music from the NAS, three full albums, and it...
I wanted to ask if it was possible to install again the latest update. I have already update my Superuniti with the 4.4 version. Sometimes it turn in mute while listening to music and happens when I lower or increase the volume by remote control or from the front panel, also happens when I open the Naim app from my Ipad and when i change imput; in short, it seems that happens when I make an imput . When this occur the logo to mute/unmute does not work to the touch. If I switch off the mute...
Does anybody have any advice on a good way to tag classical boxed sets? For example I've just acquired Gustav Mahler: Complete Works (150th Anniversary) Box set. It has 16 CD's, some of which have a mix of music, other disks have a single complete symphony. Normally with multi disk albums I name all albums the same, use the disk number tag and then let Asset combine them into one album. This works well for non-classical music as "XXX artists greatest hits", double album works well for me...
Okay... So I had a UnitiQute and started a Tidal subscription using the 90 day trial. I now replaced this with a NAC-N 272. Can I get another 90 days Tidal subscription?
I do not have an interesting problem, or an exotic scenario. The simple fact is that my Unitilite, positioned comfortably near my 5 GHz router, fitted with a wa5 high-gain wireless antennae, will not sustain a connection when not playing a stream (over iRadio). Within 5 minutes of stopping the stream, I'm getting the "No Network Press List" message. Then, of course, it needs to execute its elaborate connection protocol which, with luck, succeeds on the first attempt. It is aggravating. This...
Until last week I had only a subscription to TIDAL. Being in Switzerland I subscribed to a Qobuz free trial (where I live is not available). I'm starting to compare both services because I want to keep only one of them. I would appreciate forums members could give some advice/opinions to avoid reinventing the wheel. Up to now I like more the sound of Qobuz in my kit. I'm streaming using Mac - Audirvana. Both services work fine for me with Audirvana in the Mac and also in the iPhone app.
I just replaced one of my FM radios with a MuSo box. I notice that there's a "multi-room" mode available, and so I updated the firmware on my UnityQute v1 to 3.21 to give it a go. Qute 3.21 has a new "multiroom" input, which is enabled as per the defaults. The "name" is the default "multiroom". The MuSo options also have a "multiroom" setting... but I can't work out precisely how I get one to talk to the other. I notice that if I enable "multiroom" on the MuSo, it does the "glowing light"...
After much procrastination, I’ve finally got round to installing a fully wired network in my house. It was always going to be messy, with two half-metre thick internal stone walls to get through, but it’s done. I was also put off by the idea of linking my streamer and server/NAS through the network back to the phone line, as my house is in an exposed location, and I’ve already had a Unitiserve, amongst other things, destroyed by a direct lightning strike via the phone cable, not to mention...
This morning I paid my license fee for Audirvana using Paypal. Since then I have heard nothing, no confirmation email, no license code. Nada. I have tried contacting Audirvana. Nada. The money has gone and I have a Paypal transaction to prove it. Is this kind of delay normal? Secondly I am trying to link it to my Tidal account and here lies the rub. I have used my Facebook Login to register with Tidal. The way Tidal seems to work is that it relies on that and so does not store the password.
So I have had now for many years a NDS Network player. In my previous home I was not able to connect via an ethernet cable so relied on wireless. It was recommended at that time to download and use Linn software such as Kazoo, Songfest (or some such) or Kinsky. Strange I thought that Naim did not have it's own software. None of these worked then, despite my retailers weak efforts or phone calls to Naim. I ended up using something called 'Playback' a Yazsoft product that is no longer...
I was wondering if anyone could share the names of AU plugins they've used with Audirvana Plus to enhance their listening experience? Thanks, Peter
i bought 2 Audioquest cables quite sometime ago - 1 x AudioQuest Cinnamon RJ/E Ethernet Cable 0.75m (Cinnamon RJ/E 0.75m) 1 x AudioQuest Cinnamon RJ/E Ethernet Cable 12m (Cinnamon RJ/E 12m) Very expensive for an Ethernet cable but i had heard good things about these so decided to try them. When they were delivered, i never got round to installing them -- my system was sounding mighty fine anyhow and i didnt want to "upset" things. Today, i felt i need to move the security system from the...
when i scan my LAN, i get this device appearing with an IP Address of 192.168.08 however when i do arp -a in a DOS window on my PC (attached to same net) this device doesnt appear? have i got a security problem? or what -- does anyone else get this? enjoy ken
Might be a daft question. I travel a fair bit and also while at the old desk would like a bit more quality, for those who have purchased the Muso QB would it be ok as a take-away unit via a Laptop to play at work and while away? Maybe in a NAIM travel bag. Assuming via Bluetooth or similar I could stream from a hard drive via Laptop, or ethernet in and get HiRes playback from same Laptop. Mac OS X on MBP, Thunderbolt 2 - Ethernet adapter. Might go to local Audio T and test also.
Hello, I purchased a mu-so last week and first thing I am so pleased about it. I'm not an expert, neither an audiophile, but I sure love Music and listen to it in good conditions and with simplicity. Tidal premium (FLAC) and the Mu-So are then well fullfiling my needs. It is for me a good set tup. Never the less, I would like to talk with you about settings and have your experience and opinions on that. My mu-so is setup close to a wall on a buffet (15cm) so I put the settings on "less than...
I can get music from amazon prime can i use it on my unitiqute 2, if so how?
Entering the world of Streaming! Gentleman, I don't have a clue about streaming, just trying to enter it on the Cheap . Hence, I just want to know, am I on the right track? First off, I plan to wire my Home with Ethernet at all three hi fi locations. The Office contains the cheap version of the MM: Processor : 1.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5/ Storage : 500GB (5400-rpm) hard drive/ Memory : 4GB of 1600MHz LPDDR3 memory My understanding, is that the Audirvana and other high end software apps,...
Just updated to DSM 6.0.1 on my DS213j and while it installed with no issues, there were a number of package updates. It was also noticeable that minimserver was not to be found and I had to manually re-install this (though no issues with Java version this time). Once installed, minimserver reloaded without fuss and seems to be operating quite happily, so far.
I have searched the Internet for detailed specifications for the Gustard U12 but cannot find the manufacturer's website. Owners of this product might be able to answer a specific question that I have: does it carry the CE mark to signify compliance with European safety and EMC standards? If not, then the importers of the product (whoever they are) are acting unlawfully.
Hi everyone - I ripped 95% of my CD collection a couple of years ago, using a Unitiserve SSD (which I no longer have), by default they were ripped in WAV format. Because of Metadata and storage space issues, I converted the files to FLAC using XLD and dbpoweramp. If possible, I would like to restore my files back to the original ripped WAV format, or as close to red book CD as possible. The problem I have, is that I am not that savvy when it comes to file conversion, as there appears to be...
l.s. i have on tidal a couple of big playlists (700 and 1300 songs) . Very big if u ask my superuniti. It only shows on the superuniti display that I have 500 songs in the playlist. Anyone know why this is? It will only play songs out of this 500 songs albeit that the playlist is longer. I would like to see the total songs in the playlist. Regards Frits
Hi, Apologies in advance if this has been covered previously, but I've searched the forum and cannot find a thread. I have a Naimuniti (MK1) I previously had a Buffalo NAS which had all my music in WAV format on it and streamed perfectly. However after the NAS failed I replaced it with a DLink 320 and have uploaded all my music to it. My uniti recognises this and will play the few MP3 files and the odd FLAC file fine, however although it recognises the folders it does not display any of my...
A short but very positive 5-star review of the Qb in the July issue of BBC Music Magazine. Must save up for one.
