Streaming Audio

Evening folks, I have had my original Unity for a few years now, due to a recent change in our house I can now get a Muso to play in the kitchen / diner to compliment it. Does anyone know if the two items are compatible in the sense of doing multiroom, so to allow the same music to play on both simultaneously? thanks in advance

Over the past few days I am getting a lot of what can only be called pauses sometimes a few times a track. Needless to say this is annoying to say the least. Previously there have been the digital equivalent of a vinyl click, but these newer ones are just a fraction longer and almost sound like a volume reduction but are still so quick it only leaves an impression. I'm prepared to believe my system is at fault, the iMac is ready for replacement I think it is running super slow and at times...

Has anyone else seen and solved this: On my NS01 when I currently rip a CD it also creates a playlist. This cannot be deleted using the web interface. If I connect using the client I CAN delete the unwanted playlists, but they reappear a short while later. I am running the current firmware. The problem reared its head with the last firmware. Hello, my uniti 1 (working fine for years now) suddenly displayed an "Fehler 11 32KHz XTAL" (Certainly translated to "Fault 11"). Nothing did work. Turning it off and on again did not help at first try. After keeping the device turned off for maybe half an hour it came back to work when turning it on. It seems to work fine now again. I am a little bit afraid what could be the case for this fault 11? Does anybody know what it means? Thanks Gert

I know this has come up time and time again but I still can't seem to get it right. I think I've got my data files set up correctly, but things aren't displaying as I'd expect when I browse to and play compilation tracks via the Naim App. Here's what I see in the Naim App: It lists the tracks, but doesn't show any of the individual artist tracks. The 'play bar' at the bottom of the app screen shows the album artist and not the track artist as does the display on my Qute and ND5XS. I've tried...

So I've plugged the dongle in to the back of the NDX5 and powered it up. My Deezer app is casting, but no sound is coming through, no matter which source function I switch to. What am I missing?

Installed my ND5SX at the weekend. Streaming music files from my laptop with the NAIM app using Android. Worked fine until yesterday, now just stops playing after a couple minutes. I thought it was the app and so re-installed it on my Samsung Note 4. I was slightly concerned at the Google Play review rating of just 3.5. Hello I hope someone can help me. Today I updated Asset upnp from 4.1 to 5.1 on my windows pc. Unfortunately after that I lost my usual view of album order. I had the albums sorted by artist, beginning with numbers to Z. Then behind every artist there were one or more full albums of that artist and never just a single song e.g. from a soundtrack. Various Artists were sorted at V (they are tagged as Various Artists in the field album artist) and contained all the full albums e.g. soundtracks.

I've recently started using audirvana on my mac mini and noticed the fan running (It goes off after a while) - I've never heard it before using remote or in fact running anything! any ideas please?

I have an SU, which I'm very pleased with. However, I don't need either the power amps or the fitted FM Module. Hence I'm thinking of changing to an N172XS - I've got a FlatCapXS as a supplementary P/S. But if the N272 has a much superior pre-amp - I'd go that way. Hi folks, i use an APC RS800. Do you use a UPS for you LAN equipment? i am having continuous difficulty streaming Classic Fm. First of all the buffering on the Muso does not happen to any other internet station on 128kbs. I get no buffering only on classic fm and it's only on the Muso as I have two other internet radios and they stream classic fm ok. It just holds the station and then after a few seconds breaks down suddenly and is most frustrating. Have any [Mac/iThing] users noticed an improvement in the Naim IoS App's ability to identify Naim Muso, streamers, etc. following the week's firmware updates for Apple Airport Express, Extreme, Time Capsule etc? From my own experience with Muso and SU, the Bonjour service was less than reliable, but has improved dramatically following the recent updates. KR, J

Spotify drops out on UQ2. This is surprising as I have never had a streaming issue with Spotify, it has always been rock solid. Deleting and reloading Spotify app did not sort it out. UQ2 (on 4.4 fw) is hardwired to network. Anyone experiencing the same glitch?

Hi, I've owned a new NDX for a few weeks. I stream FLAC natively via Minimserver on my Synology DS over a fully wired network. Gapless playback works for album tracks that are already in the playlist. However, when I cue a track for immediate playback, sometimes the start of the track is slightly clipped, as if the NDX has not buffered enough of the track. Is this a known feature? So I currently use a UQ v1 to stream via spdif to a V1. Never tried the USB on the V1 so on a whim plugged my Macbook into it using a trial of Audirvana. I found the sound to be just as engaging, if not somewhat more detailed, then the UQ streaming. So got me thinking that I would love to move the UQ from the equation - and to my office! I have managed to download the DSD of Honky Chateau from Acoustic Sounds. If I copy it to a USB I can play it via the USB connector on the front of the NDS. I also copied it to my NAS, but it is not showing in NSTREAM. Any advice?

Hi all Am after a little bit of noob advice. Is it possible to stream audio from my laptop/mobile device to my Uniti using Chromecast? The Chromecast connection is HDMI so I guess I'm asking is there a way of connecting HDMI to any of the inputs on the Uniti. Thanks, any help appreciated.

Dear Forum The IoS app is great, and I use it on both an i-phone and i-pad, but when I'm working on my MacBook it would be great if there were a way to control my ND5 XS without having to make sure that one of these mobile devices is close to hand. I know that may be considered 'lazy', but I'd prefer to think about it in terms of efficiency. Does anyone know whether Naim are working on any sort of Mac/laptop app? Yours hoping Nigel

Sorry to bring this old chestnut up yet again, but I just can't seem to get it right - or at least not in the Naim App. I thought I'd got my Various Artist albums set up correctly via Asset but they just don't display correctly (in my eyes) in the Naim App. When I browse for an album, the individual track artists aren't displayed - either in the App or on the screen of my Qute.
