I thought I had it all working - been OK for a few days (I think) - Sat down tonight to listen to some music - mistake 3 hours later - tearing my hair out :- 1) I created a Playlist "Tunes" - Tablet / NaimApp / selected 6000 items (tracks) - found one I liked - touched screen - started to play - touched 3 dots top right to select playlist and add track - track added THEN - Playlist full. Only way to continue - delete playlist - start again.......... I cannot manage to add tunes to create a...

I have a 2014 (latest version) Mac Mini with Audirvana, connected directly to my standard Chord Hugo with the white USB cable packaged with the Hugo. As we know, the USB input on the Hugo is not galvanically isolated, but I'd like to stay with the USB connection to the Hugo (my coaxial connection is interrupted by light switches and the like, and the optical connection is used for the TV). I'm interested in giving the Hugo sound quality a boost via a simple and value-for-money USB isolator...

Hi A mate has just bought a Qb on my recommendation and has satisfactorily set it up to run based on his Samsung mobile. He also wants to be able to control it from his laptop, which runs Windows 10. He has reasonable broadband/wifi connectivity in his house but no wired network. We attempted to install the Qb as a 'new device' on the laptop from 'Settings'. Initially it detected the Qb as a Bluetooth connected headphone and we managed to play a track from Tidal into the Qb. Then, in...

hi folks - Asset is set up and working on my Mac Mini as a server, the Naim app successfully playing dBpoweramp generated rips. But, I have couple of minor issues... Artwork: I made a schoolboy error (hangs head in shame!) by not deleting the first dBpoweramp album cover selection the software found on the net, as opposed to selecting my higher res image. I know how to edit and replace the artwork via “Edit tags via dBpoweramp", but this seems a laborious process! Would I be better just re...

So, just downloaded new Radiohead album in 24 bit format. Copied it to NAS box and couldn't find it from Naim app on iPhone. Eventually found it under Artist "Unknown". Used Media Monkey to edit the tracks, adding Artist and Album title. Still can't see it listed under Radiohead. What am I doing wrong?

Music formats only succeed if they offer a broad range of artists and genres. Today's news is a big leg up to MQA, who until now didn't have a deal in place with a major label. Source: http://www.whathifi.com/news/warner-music-group-becomes-first-big-label-to-adopt-mqa

Hi folks, as referenced in my recent dBpoweramp thread, I am now getting close to buying a Naim streamer, so comparing specs and analysing the various paths I could take. I still have my CB Nait 2, which can either be kept or used to help finance alternative boxes. The options under consideration include... UnitiQute 2 (new) + NAP100/200 (2nd hand, added later). NAC-N 172XS + NAP200 (2nd hand, both units). ND5 XS (ex demo) + my current NAIT2. Downside, no remote volume control. ND5 XS (ex...

I'm having trouble editing CD information on my Unitiserve. For example, one CD I burned has the wrong name listed under "artist". When I try to edit it on my PC, I get a pop up message saying "hard disc is currently busy--please try again later." I've tried many times with the same problem. I am not burning a disc or otherwise using the hard disc for other things when trying to edit. I turned the Unitiserve off and back on but that didn't make any difference. When I try to edit the artist...

I usually stream music from a NAS to an ND5 XS, but have just bought a MuSo for the summer house. I made a backup from the NAS to a USB stick and took it with me to play on the MuSo. As far as I can see, I can play music in order or at random from the USB stick, but I cannot find a way to make a playlist for the USB stick on the Naim App and the MuSo manual does not mention playlists. Is it possible to make playlists for music on a USB stick using the Naim App or, failing that, make a...

Hello, I would like to stream qobuz (sublim) to my naim uniti. Are there new information about plans of naim supporting qobuz? This would be a reason for me to upgrade the streaming module of my uniti1. Until then I think about other solutions. What I have found in this forum (the threads are closed, so I open this new one) are these possibilities: Sonos Connect (no hires support) Aurelia mini (500€) Bluesound node2 (420€) raspberry pi with squeezelite and logitech media server which is...

In general, I have no problems playing anything to my Muso, whether it be my iPhone, iPad, PC or MacBook Air. I can do this via UpnP from my NAS or through WiFi with Spotify or iTunes. However, today I was playing iTunes from my MacBook Air to my Muso via WiFi as usual and the dropouts were intolerable. The solution, at least so far, was simply to reboot the MacBook which slightly puzzles me. To be honest, the MacBook can go days, if not weeks, without being rebooted, but why would that...

Would greatly appreciate help/suggestions. Currently 1 month in to a 3 month Tidal trial which I am streaming from an Iphone via a wifi connection to a first generation Airport Express connected by toslink into my Ndac. I am suffering from drop outs and intermittent loss of the Airport Express from my network. I have an HDX connected to my router by ethernet cable which is run though a solid wall. As will be appreciated, the Ndac is located in close proximity to the HDX. I would like to run...

Come home today and there was no electricity in the house. After a while when the electricity came back i couldn't get any power and light in the Vortexbox. It seems complete dead. A electrician tested the power supply and it worked fine.N othing happens when I press and hold the power for 1 second, 5 seconds, or 10 seconds. I can see a green light on through the side grill. Any suggestions what could be wrong?

A quick question - I have just bought an NDX (and so far very pleased with it), and see that you have to select the output, between DIN, phono and digital. Is it not possible to have both DIN and spdif outputs simultaneously? Thanks Steve

Hello. I've just bought a Mu-so Qb, and it sounds fantastic! But I think I'm having problems with the Naim app... I can see what song/artist is playing, and play/stop/skip forwards & backwards. But there is no artwork displayed, nor can I select songs/albums/artists to be played - I have to go back to the Apple Music app. Is this correct? I am using Bluetooth to stream music from an iPod, which has the latest iOS. Music is copied to the iPod from a Macbook Pro using iTunes. Many thanks

As many forumites will know, when you click on the little book icon in the Naim app connected to a Naim streamer, album information from the Rovi database is displayed. Frequently I find that the information displayed is for the wrong album. Having completed ripping my CD collection some time ago, all the music I now purchase is in the form of downloads, either CD quality or high res. Usually album information is provided in the form of a digital booklet in PDF format. To my mind, it would...

Hi, I have copied the new Radiohead album to the Downloads folder in windows explorer \\NSSRV857A\Downloads. I wish to rescan it using the Desktop Client so that it can pick up the album. However within the client -> Scannable Network Shares I see an entry: NSSRV857A \Downloads Offline Yes Automatic I'm assuming that because it is offline I am not able to rescan and find the music. Can you tell me what this status is indicating and how I can fix it? Note that I acquired the Uniti Serve as...

The long awaited beta version of Asset v5 for QNAP with DSD/DFF support is now released for download under Test Forthcoming Releases on the dBPoweramp Forum Homepage. I have been using it today with my QNAP 512 and NDX and it has worked perfectly.

After reading all the enthusiastic experiences of the NDX/Hugo owners, I decided to try me too. My system: Melco N1a > NDX > Klimo Merlino Gold Plus > 2 Klimo Kent Gold Improved > Proac D28. I connected NDX to Hugo with a Naim DC1 cable. THe result after 24 hours burn in was quite dissapointing, Iset the Hugo volume between green and blue but the first thing I noticed was that I had to increase the volume of my Merlino to achieve the same level of sound than when I connected...

Just in case you're not aware, Asset for OSX, QNAP, Linux and Raspberry Pi now has DSD compatability. The R5 version is still in beta but so far it's working perfectly for me on a QNAP NAS.

I currently have two Mu-so and one Mu-so Qb units. They are usually played through wifi (as I get cut-outs when I connect them to my Cat6 network...another issue but not asking for help on this right now!) but I cannot find a way to group them, either in pairs or all three together. The only way I can achieve this is by using Airfoil software on my Mac (which works really well) but ideally I want to be able to operate one or in various groupings from the iPhone app I have on my iPhone. I...
