Streaming Audio

Hi I'm confused about playlist locations. I'm using MinimServer with my music stored on a Synology NAS. I'm in anticipation of several streaming devices arriving, one being a Mu-So Qb. For my playlists to be available to various apps and streamers, where should I locate them? I can't find much about it in the MinimServer instructions. I suppose the best location is somewhere on the NAS on which MinimServer runs? What would be needed for streaming apps to pick these up? Thank you for your help.

I already own a Mu-so, I just purchased a qb to use as additional speaker in the same room. Problem 1: When listening to Naim iRadio music levels change and drop out often, maybe once a minute. Both devices are up to date with firmware. OK, not earth shattering news and it's still just variable bitrate I believe but as a Sonus user for streaming and an Amazon Prime user too (a very cost effective and decent service IMO), it's nice to have them together.

Copying some discs to hard drive in preparation for NDX installation One a couple of Cds the last track or two come up with errors ( Re-rip 8864 frames ) - tried re-writing them - but no go - maybe scratched Cd.... ? QUESTION ? Can I just delete the track in file manager? AND will the rest of the CD - successfully copied tracks - work OK ? What does the +/- offset mean please ? Thanks Al

First posting on this forum, so forgive me if anyone has asked about this before. I have installed Audirvana on my Mac (running OS X Yosemite) and also A+ Remote on my iPhone. The main objective was to stream selected files from iTunes on to my MuSo and a Qb. It works fine, except for one thing: if I select both units to stream music simultaneously to both, the music only comes through on the Qb and the main Mu-So stays silent. Any help gratefully received!

Since there's no sticky topic for the new Android release, I thought I'd mention that a new version of the Naim app has appeared on the Play store. Purported novelties are QB support, improved multi-room support and crash fixes. Had a quick look, and crashes do indeed seem to be reduced (haven't had one in about 5 attempts to use the app thus far), and an issue I had with track names displaying incorrectly seems to be fixed too. Worth updating asap.

Interesting release on Facebook today from Damien to say that a new version of the A+ Remote app has been released to Apple for review yesterday which allows full integration of Tidal (Qobuz was already integrated). The new version of Audirvana + will be released at the same time it is approved. As I have only just signed up with Qobuz it looks like a few weeks of comparisons is on the cards. Very impressive how he continues to develop and release improvements at such a pace. Looking forward...

Hi folks, I have a UnitiServe with hard disc version ("US"), ripped some songs on it. I have a NAS with other songs ripped on it too. Both are connected to my NDX via a switch. The US has automatically scanned the NAS and I can gain access to all the songs ripped on both the US and the NAS by using the Naim App. Fantastic! But, I have subsequently ripped some songs by using the US as the primary storage, therefore those songs subsequently ripped can only be "seen" and found on the US as...

Has anyone noticed a faint interference from wifi enabled streamers, in my case a SU, on their speakers? It appears to be volume independent, ie still present when SU muted, disappears altogether when SU cabled, wifi disabled. Regrettably, cabling is not a permanent solution option for my configuration. Good evening, I am currently having a spin with Naim. I have been using Linn streamer for couple of years. I could stream podcasts from my android devices and could search out podcasts. Can you find or import any podcasts with the Naim iradio and if so how. I think Linn uses TuneIn Radio and I could access through configuration software for the streamer. I have an Iphone and 2 x Ipads , both Ipads running the same Version of Ios. One ipad will not login to Tidal via the naim app and the other will. I have reinstalled the naim app on the machine that does not connect , no luck. I have reset password and logged back in to all devices apart from the 1 Ipad that is not playing the game, has anyone else encountered this ? Thanks.

My UnitiQute2 is preparing to relocate from the West Midlands to my flat in Greenwich, London! Why? It is soon to be ousted by the 272 I have just ordered! It will be a number of months before I can swap the 100 for a 250 and upgrade the speakers, but after an evening sat demoing the 272 in my flat, the UQ2 just didn't sound the same! very happy customer, very happy dealer!

I know it's set up for "Spotify", but is this exclusively? All my music is on Google Play Music ( I didn't like the way Spotify kept breaking). Can this be "cast" to the SU with, I dunno, maybe the NAIM App? Is that how it works? I'm confused.

You have ripped all your CDs which are safely stored in the loft,and you have been very good and arranged for a backup to be stored off site. Then you lose everything in a fire. Now given the fact that you no longer have the originals CDs can you make use of the back-up?

I have just purchased an NDX and had it shipped over to me here in Tokyo. Am streaming from a Qnap TS-231...all going well, but my remote handset is playing up. Three days ago the remote stopped working on the NDX. Hi, I've been having repeated issues (loss of WiFi, loss of UPnP access etc.) with my NDX, which I usually resolve with a power off, wait an hour or so, power on and all ok. (On the odd occasion I've had to reset and redefine the Wifi again). Today I've restarted after a similar episode and I receive the message Fault 61 BridgeCo init fail. Can't get beyond it. I'm guessing this is a return to dealer? Have to admit having a serious love/hate relationship with the NDX - quality piece of kit...

Hello all, I have taken the advice of the forum and have purchased a Netgear switch to sit between my bthomehub 4 and nas drive. I'm hoping it might stabilise the bthomehub as I have been having quite a number of occasions with the home hub going off line since adding a nas drive. The artwork for my latest ripped CDs has disappeared when using media server. They have appeared but when I open it it just displays the blue no artwork symbol. Any clues or anyone else experienced this since latest DMS update. Everything is ok if I use Logitechs media server and all other albums are ok so I know the artwork is present in the source files.
