I have a NDX and am now using Airport Express as an access point for it. The home wifi router is the Airport Extreme connected to the internet. I am now thinking of running a Cat5e from the Extreme to a switch then to the NDX. Basically hard wired the NDX. Hello all, I have a serious problem with my Muso. From time to time  the Muso does not show up (on my IPAD/IPHONE)  as an airplay unit.  The IPAD/IPHONE just doesn't seem to recognise the MUSO and the Muso does not show up in the list of available Airplay units. However this problem does not occur  for other airplay units such as Apple TV. Muso then also loose contact with the Muso app ("rooms not found"). I am not a fan of Apple's iOS but my wife happens to have an iPhone and an iPad and I have been wandering how we could use them to control our MPD music server effectively. I know MPoD, but I find the program hardly usable. Ideally, I would have liked something like ncmpcpp for iOS. ncmpcpp is, currently, the best software for accessing a music collection, in my view. I don't know if this has been cover before but my Muso app is showing that there is an update avaible , I have selected the update and after a minute or two it comes back as update failed.  The Muso then drops off the network after another 5mins it powers up and starts playing the radio.  The Muso appears in the app again with update available underneath it and the prosses starts over again.   Anyone else having the same problem ?   

I have just signed up for Tidal which I am trialling via my iPad directly plugged into the front USB of my nDAC. Long term this is not my preferred option. If I sign up permanently can anyone suggest the best option for connecting a streaming only device to my DAC.  This will not be my main source but used for browsing before buying. My source will continue to be a unitiserve. So option needs to be fairly cheap and not a naim streamer which would be the obvious option if streaming...

Firstly, I must say that I am really pleased that owners/supporters of the Naim DAC have been 'rewarded' with a new Firmware upgrade - taking their device to a new level. This is good news. I also see that there are many comments regarding how some are convinced that it now outperforms the much praised Chord Hugo .... but that it is very close! Hello,  I have a Mac / DAC V1 / Nac 112x / Nap 150x / FlatCap2 configuration. The Mac Mini is brand new. I use Kodi as a player (have also BitPerfect from App store). The USB cable is Audioquest Carbon. Hi, I am using a ND5XS streamer in combination with a nDac + XPS 2. I was wondering if an additional power supply for the ND5XS streamer would/could  bring any improvement? Has somebody ever tried out this maybe strange combination? Santi    

I've purchased a UPS (APC CS350) to use with my NS01 server and would like to set it up to provide a controlled power down in the case of an extended power outage.  Can anyone guide me through the setup using APS Powerchute for a mac (or does it have to be windows?) Thanks

Anyone heard of or tried the PSU's made by Sbooster of Holland - formerly known as Squeeze-Upgrade? They have an interesting range of nice looking units with what looks like a decent regulated supply & different units for various voltage & current. They also have adaptors that fit on the end of low current SMPS's to "condition" the DC supply. All the products are covered by an extensive compatibility list.

Simple question really .... Is there any advantage in using a Naim Uniti serve rather than a relatively standard NAS drive?  What's the advantages and is it worth the additional investment? I have searched the FAQ but couldn't find anything specific on this topic. Thank you. Stu.

What I really do miss on my nd5xs is a clock with alarm function like the one on the unityqute!

Most people use a Chord Hugo instead of a Naim DAC. Why is this so? The Hugo is smaller yet requires battery power and eventual battery replacement. Is it THAT much better than the Naim?

I have been contemplating a 272 but can't get a demo in my location on the planet. However, I'm wondering if the pecking order has changed since the NDAC FW upgrade vs. the 272 onboard DAC compared to the NDX/NDAC? The 272 product page currently list only power supplies as upgrades. My updated NDAC is clearly performing everything better within the definition of music sounding more real in space. Good job Naim. Hello! I'm just wondering how to use my lineout at my naimuniti. I got a multiroom system, Heos from Denon. Now i want to play a CD on my naimuniti and want to use the lineout to send my signal to the multiform system that i can hear the CD in every room. But somehow i cannot manage it.  So how can i do it, is it the correct way or is there a different better way?   Thanks for your help

Hi, I have a recurring problem streaming Qobuz from the iMac to the Unitilite, via Airfoil and an Airport Express (connected to the Unitilite with an optical cable, "toslink"). It worked fine for a while, but now, it keeps losing connexion. The Airfoil message  is that it "lost connexion with the remote speaker". I wrote to Airfoil. Hi all, ive ripped some of my albums onto my PCs hard drive (about 90 cds in total) so far and using Asset all working fine except on compilation albums its not showing the artist in the display of my NDX? Ive also noticed that occasionly i get the wrong song title with the one thats playing from the same artist? Any ideas? Cheers Mark

While I've generally been reasonably impressed with the Tidal trial, I've been a bit disappointed to see that they seem slow to catch up with newer classical releases. Everything had been running tikity boo since getting the UQ2 and setting up my NAS drives & network but lately its been playing up. The problem has been that over the last few weeks if I leave the UQ2 overnight the next day it won't play from the NAS, it just comes up as "searching" and then "track skipped". I ran the suggested network checker on my iPad and the one thing that stood out was bonjuer isn't running on the UQ2 at all, is that significant? The network seems to be working fine...
