John Darko at Digital Audio Review just posted an interesting review of the W4S modded Sonos, favorably comparing it to external the company's external Remedy re-clocker and the Auralic Aries wireless bridge.   As a longtime user of the W4S Sonos, I've found it more or less equal to the ND5XS using a DC1 cable and V1 dac.  Granted, it is not as attractive as a Naim box, but dressed in a matt black "skin" from Amazon the Sonos blends in rather nicely.  Still, I can't help...

Anyone who uses Tidal on an iPhone or iPad may want to avoid the latest iOS9.2 update. If you store music for offline play, you will lose access to it. Since installing the new Apple music app. I no longer seem to be able to playback music from my Iphone to my Unitiqute 2 via USB using the 'Qute remote. Instead, I now need to pick the phone, open the music app and press 'play' in order to get the track playing via the phone!  This is shockingly bad and huge step backwards.  It basically renders the whole concept useless. :( Has anyone had this problem, and is there a fix/settings change that I have missed?   Thanks

Universal Music Group apparently uses watermarking in its streamed music (link below). I subscribe to Tidal in CD quality, but generally find it below that of a ripped CD, and ultimately tiring over long listening periods. Hi all, I'm looking for some advice. I have a large collection of digital music - around 3TB stored on a Synology NAS. I'm looking at buying a Mu-So to play said collection through. The problem I have at the moment is that iTunes doesn't play nicely with the NAS - dropping the connection and defaulting back to the local drive, slow connectivity & choppy playback. For the past few days I see that the ndx would lose Wi-Fi connection to my router after midnight, not sure the exact time but I can be sure I cannot find the ndx from the android app early in the morning. Well I do not know if "jumps" is the right word here. Since some days the music from RP sometimes sounds if some packages have got lost. Usually you do not hear a gap or click. It just sounds if some milimeters have been cut out of a music tape. So the rhythm does a jump. It does not happen all the time but sometimes 3 or 4 times in a song, sometimes less often. I installed SyncStream app as an UPnP server in my iPhone.  It works very well with mp3 files for my uniticute 2 but m4a.  I wonder why??? Is there any restriction streaming m4a files by Apple?

But when I'm looking at my uniti2 for this stations I see that there was no Folder for this favourites from vtuner. Does anybody know if naim want to edit this folder in the menu. Hi, I'm finally about to get round to editing the metadata for those Naim ripped albums which resolutely remain as "unknown artist", both in n-Serve on my MacBook, and, obviously, in the n-Stream control app on my iPad. A new NDX is just out of my price range and so I've been focused on the new NAC 272 (w/200DR/250DR) for streaming chores. I have seen a few used NDX's on the market that give me pause.  Have their been many changes to the NDX old vs new or is it only/mostly just software changes over the past several years.  If it's software based then that would be easy to update and away we go.   What do you think? thanks
