Hello all Not sure if covered before but in my middle systems i have a 272 and 172 (different rooms of course) I can play DSD on the 272 but not on the 172? Even if i use the multiroom and have the 272 as the "source" 272...
My Naim arrive yesterday, just looking for advice on a basic setup that would get the most out of the device? Such as, do replacement power cords make a difference? I know Naim sell them for £500, but others will do them for <£60. Also, I assume it better to link the ND5 via ether net cable? However, how much quality do you loose, i thought half the reason for getting the it was that everything could source music wirelessly. Please keep suggestions low cost!
I'm thinking of buying a Sonos connect for a friend who is retiring. I don't think he has any ripped music nor is he likely to bother ripping. I'm hoping that Sonos has integrated Spotify in such a way that he will think he has the mother...
Firstly, I'd like to applaud Naim for what a great job they have done seamlessly integrating Tidal into the Naim app and the fact that for most the upgrade has been pain free. Also, having so much music at your fingertips is eye opening (or maybe that should be ear opening). Pretty much Naim had to move in this direction or they faced being left behind by competitors. But there is a "however"... I'm underwhelmed by the sound quality. Even though the played rips show up as FLAC 44.1 I think...

Existing system. nap 200, and unitiiqute v1, with 192 1: Swap unitiqute for a ND5 XS and NAC202 2: Stick with unitiqute and get a 282 pre. (Secondhand upgrades. Can get a 282 for less than the ND5 XS and 202 (around £400 less) Using PMC 22 speakers. the unitiqute would be used as just the source if I got the 282 and would then at a later date upgrade to a dedicated source, ND5 XS or maybe a chord dac.

Hi, Anyone else have this issue when buying & downloading a album in WAV? I'm running a Synology 215 with MinimServer have had no problem with any FLAC files but on the last two instances I've decided to try the WAV file the album doesn't show up in the NAIM app (even though I know its on the server).... if I run 'show log' on Minim Watch I get the message below?
When I play an album it plays one song and then stops - if states 10 songs are added to queue list but only plays one then stops..... no no doubt it's me being a numb nuts but I can't work out why it is doing this any...
