Hi everyone I am now back in the fold with an Atom after some time away (this is the all in one that I wanted from Naim 2 years ago) and it is a fantastic little thing. No NAS needed - internal SSD fitted into a caddy that is plugged into the back. The drive can be switched off so the Atom stops powering it. And all the other ways to connect music. Fantastic! Hello all, my Atom had been working really well and browsing through my n’as drive music library using the naim app was rock solid and a real breeze since the last naim app update, but that was before I updated the iOS app on my various I devices including an iPad mini4 and an iPhone 8 Plus running now the last iOS update now my atom keeps losing the connection with my NAS; I.e the nas will appear in the naim app’s list of servers about 1/10 times using both devices. just updated to 2.7 and have no access to roon network shares any longer, means no music. seems it is not possible to access any network shares... dropped Andrew from sonicorbiter an email, hope its a bug he can fix. I can access the NAS share via MAC and access roon as well, but roon doesn‘t show NAS shares. ralf

Just installing new NDX2. Powered by XPSDr and connecting to NAC282. CDX2 it replaced didnt have such a switch. Signal Ground out of box is set to “Floating”. Is this correct for this configuration, or should it be set to “Default” ? Thanks

I received a s/h 2960 yesterday. The former owner has set it to factory settings. As far as I can read from this forum, my next step is to replace my current switch with the 2960, by plugging ethernet, nas and 272 into the 8 ports, then plug in powercable and switch on? No "mode" settings either? Am I right? Thanks S

I’m loving Roon on my ND555 and wanted to add it to my Qute2 which of course is not Roon Ready. The little DigiOne is a slick little device. Right out of the box all I did was connect it to the Qute digital input, connect it to my switch and then connect the power. Just got back from business trip and started up my system again, HDX remains in "starting" but doesn't actually start! :( This is the 3rd time it's happened. I have just bought a 172 XS as a possible front for my 2nd system as I already have a 180 and a 250 at home I thought I would give it a try. I now have the latest version of the NAIM app on my iPad and Android devices and I am having strange problems. The first thing I noticed is that is the display on the Unity was showing the message 'No Time', which is obviously a connection problem. Trying to connect to the device with my iPad (or Android) device failed, it simply would not show an icon for the UnityLite in the Rooms screen. stereoplay from Germany tested NDX2, outstanding 98 points total. 69/70/68 for 192/96/CD . NDS has 98 points as well, got 70/70/68. NDX2 was without PSU. Their reference streamer is T&A with 71/71/67 and 99 points total. Seems that Naim build a winner????????

Hi all, I thought I'd share my rather daft mistake of keeping (and paying for two TIDAL HIFI subscriptions/accounts) for close to a full year. Native Tidal app runs fine via on my MacBook and two Android devices. No problems at all streaming in hi-fi quality. But Tidal is basically a hopeless cause on my N272 via the Naim app on either my Android phone or tablet. Tracks either don't load at all or they load slowly and then drop out. My HDX is currently off at HQ, being re-NAIMed. It'll be returning with a new 2 Tb drive, and, probably, a new CD mechanism. So, I'm now faced with a choice of holding onto it, or trading it in against a Core. One the one hand, the Core represents the up to date ripping engine and firmware, whilst the HDX might be somewhat clunkier in operation. I have a Naim Uniti Core a few months old. It holds an internal SSD of 1TB WAV music. 1) It has developed an increasing habit of shutting itself off in the middle of a music playing session. Hi all, Purchased an atom last year and really enjoying it. I was using the atom in a larger 30m2 room with a set of q acoustic 3050i. Nice and sensitive for the lower power. Was very happy with the room filling ability of this setup. Now in a new place and the 3050s have gone to an even bigger lounge with a 160wx2 channel av amp for tv duty. Has anyone yet had the opportunity of using their NDX2 with an NDAC? I currently have the CD5XS coupled with the NDAC. The plan is to sell the CD player, but I am unsure whether there are any SQ benefits of utilising the NDAC. I will be able to bench test this properly when I pick up the NDX2 in a weeks time but wondered whether there was anyone out there that had tried this already. I plan to move the XPSDR currently connected to the NDAC over to the NDX2 when I get it. Cheers

My Nova was playing fine today when it went quiet, the “home” screen graphics came up on the display and the downloading bar along the bottom went from left to right, when it got to the end the Nova carried on as normal. Is this usual for the Nova to do this ie update ? Nick
