How can I stream Tidal Masters on my Naim NDX?

Hi everyone, I am building my first hifi set up and I have found a very nice deal and bought an SN2. Now I am planning to spend the rest of my budget ( between 2.000 -2.500 EUR) in a smart way so that I will have a nice combination. It seems to me the best option will be Blusound Node2 and Focal Aria 926. Do you think of any other option for streamer+speaker within this budget? By the way my room is 31 sqm (5m x 7.2m) and I will listen little bit of everything jazz, classical to heavy metal

As the question really, I have several different versions of various albums, remastered, remixed e.g Marillion's Brave 1994 version and remastered 24bit version.... Does anybody know if when I rip another copy will it overwrite the original or duplicate as a different version? I don't fancy being stuck in an "overwite' loop or having to rip on pc and load via network /usb Using Naim Initial Core..

Has anyone else noticed that using the “Start artist radio” feature in the NAIM app for any given artist, that the track selection/playlist is always the same? I’ve always hoped that there’d be some way to generate a randomized play list each and every time. I’m curious if others use this feature and whether expectations match my own.

I have had my NDX for over 4 years and have been very happy with the performance. The music is on a QNAP NAS approx 1300 cd’s and played via MinimServer. I have found that about 80% of the time I listen to music I set the NDX to play in random order. I initiate the random play using using the NDX remote to select the media server on th NDX screen and then scroll to items, and then press play and activate the shuffle. Guys, Strong possibility that over the next few weeks I move from CD replay to a streamer. I enjoy trying stuff on the Qb through Tidal but still intend to purchase music that I really like. This obviously gives me the opportunity to purchase in higher resolution. Could I have some simple advice on the various formats and perhaps the best providers? Strange things happend lately.. My last (Hd tracks) albums always missing the last track. I put the albums in the download folder as i always been doing. When i look at the download folder it shows all tracks there. But when i open the Naim App the last track is always missing. If an album got 14 tracks it only shows 13. If an album got 25 tracks it only shows 24 tracks. Everything is updated. Naim App, n-Serve app. And the latest Windows 10 upgrade. This happend with my five latest...

I've been having a problem getting my Uniti Star discovering my NAS Wired via a Powerline setup. I've had to use Wireless which was occasionally a bit iffy. The new App is finding the wired NAS now. A big THANK YOU to the people at NAIM for this improvement.

Help. Naim what have you done? So not used the Naim app for a few weeks and had the emails about how Naim have upgraded the App to improve finding devices on the network. Well tonight wanted to play music on the UnitiQute (v1 with 192 upgrade) and now the App crashes every time on starting (while searching for devices). Hi there..awaiting delivery of a Nova and Proac db3 speakers , replacing a Unitiserve and Vienna Acoustics Schönberg speakers ..( cant wait ! ) l have a Unitiserve which to date has been connected via toslink...I am planning on continued use of this unit until it dies ( again ! ) ...just wondering what people’s views are as to the connection between the two units should ideally be ? Hi guys, i have a Uniti Nova and two Harbeth 30.1 plugged, as I am streming music from spotify I am wondering if I can pair a wireless speakers as well ( I dont know if through Naim Nova or does Spotify allow me to play on both wired speakers and wifi ones) so i can have the same music played in different rooms. I am planning to take some Sonos or Denon speakers as they are quite cheap and do what I need, can I pair them with Naim? thanks, regards, Giuseppe

Hi, Suddenly, gapless is not working using Naim app. Upnp works, but not Tidal. It has worked before. It's VERY annoying. Does someone else have the same problem? Is there anything I can do to fix it?

My BT broadband contract is about to expire. I was on 10MB avg speed, non-fibre. I can now get a fibre deal (Central London) at less per month. Am really just wondering about ISP hardware. (I currently have BT HH4.) BT can give me a fibre deal which includes HH5 (but not a Smart Hub - I would have to pay an extra £65 for that - although of course they throw in a Smart Hub for new customers...) I'm running the latest firmware of the Naim app but have experienced this intermittent problem in earlier versions and when using different streamers (NDX, NDS, 272) and from different NAS's (Synology & Qnap). When playing tracks using my iPad, the progress bar gets stuck or stops when the track is playing. Its a bit annoying and is resolved when I stop the track or move to the next one. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Hi Chaps, Since the arrival of my ND555 yesterday, I'm now playing music via Minimserver on my NAS, instead of using my HDX to serve to an NDS, using nServe as the control, since the HDX is on it's way back to Salisbury to be re-Naimed. Just back from a demo of the NDX 2, and Linn Akurate DS. The amplification for both units was a 282, HiCap DR, 250 DR. I took my own speakers, Spendor A5s, which will be upgraded in due course. Considering the NDX 2 is ten times the price of my current streamer, a Bluesound Node 2, (the Linn even more) I really did expect 'night and day', sadly it was nowhere near it. Hi! I got a Uniti Atom, which I find "too warm" when it's in standby. It feels more like a running router or switch, than something in "standby". It's connected via WLAN to my home network (still routing a path for a NW cable) and I got an external USB-SSD attached to it (switched from USB-HDD this week.) Server mode is switched-off. As I sit here while Roon uses its Radio function to trawl through my library to brilliant effect, I want to ask whether Naim might give us something similar in the Naim app, or at least the Random play function which was a feature of N-Serve, which was not the same thing, but nevertheless opened the library door. I never understood why it wasn’t carried over to the Naim App.

I am the owner of a rarely used Nova. It used to change the screen details when i waved my hand in front of it. That's not happening any more. I guess the sensor is broken, but thought it worth asking here in case it is recoverable. It's a minor problem I know, but this is the third unit I have endured following serious problems with the first two, and any new issue has just deepened my disillusionment with the stupid thing <sigh>

Good Morning all, Sorry I know this subject has been covered on this forum but I’m new to DSD and was going to buy some DSD music today but I’m not sure which DSD to buy? There are two available, 2.8mhz and 5.8mhz so I’m assuming, going by what my SU can play,’single rate’ the 2.8mhz is the one to go for? I’m also assuming that the 5.8mhz files are of higher quality hence why they are more expensive? Thanks in advance chaps..????????
