The linear psu probably makes a difference only because it doesn't inject noise into the mains? Would the linear psu make a difference if it he unitiserv is in a different room as the rest of your gear?

I have a Unitiserve. I have been downloading Flac albums from Linn Records with no problems at all. However, HDtracks albums give me nothing but grief. About 2 out of every 5 I download do not show up in N-Serve once I have dragged the downloaded album into the downloads folder. I am using an iMac and OS ver 10.7.5.
