I was excited to hear that Audirvana had released a Windows version of their playback software. Audirvana supports Tidal integration and has the ability to do the first unfold of Tidal MQA masters and stream to a UPnP/DLNA Renderer. at the Naim NAS 555 demo, we tried to play a couple of Peter Gabriel tracks from Tidal, but it appears that although the tracks appear on the Tidal apps, they do not appear on the Tidal section of the Naim app. Peter Gabriel appear as does all of the album notes, but no tracks appear, we tried this on about five difference devices (all iOS I think) and all were the same i put a support request into Tidal but the response was next to useless as I assume they only handle problems with their...

All i have a Core and did a full backup about 3 weeks ago. There was a lot on there - 6TB - and it took 3 days. I looked at the backup after on my Mac and everything was fine. i have since loaded hundreds more CDs and want to do an incremental backup. I can't find any way to do this. It just keeps asking if i want to cinfigure a NEW backup. Help! Thanks Jas

When adding an external amp like a NAP200 to a uniti Atom, is there anything in the settings which needs to be disabled. If I remember right on the UQ you used to have to disable to internal amp section I think?

The current topic seems closest to my question, namely is it possible to access music on a NAS (WDMyCLoud) via the USB on an Atom? Currently it says that nothing is attached after I have connected it with a USB cable. Thanks for any assistance.

Hi do all, I taking delivery of a new nas today ( Synology DS218j WD Red HDD) . As I’m a bit of a technophobe when it comes to computers I was tempted to take it to my local computer shop and let them handle building it up but I’ve been looking around the web and I’m going to set it up myself. I’m about set up my Naim Mu-So but am unsure of the best route to go with regards to connecting it to Wi-Fi. Connected to the Mu-So will be a Samsung TV, Sky Q box, Apple TV and an Oppo 203 all of which have an Ethernet port. My nearest Google Wi-Fi point has an Ethernet port in the back which is currently plugged into the Sky Q box but is this most effective device to utilise it? I've just discovered eight albums which are showing up as "unknown album" within n-Serve, I'm guessing that these escaped my notice, early doors, when I was initially ripping my entire CD collection en masse. There's an album reference number allocated to each, but a Google search isn't coming up with anything, so I'm assuming these are somewhat random numbers generated by the Rovi database. Any ideas as to how to identify these albums ................ though one could argue that if I can't...

Is anyone experiencing Tidal issues, I have been fine then today, when firing up the Nova took forever to find a room or the Nova, eventually I reset my router and all, thinking solved but same again. I can play anything but Tidal, but on many attempt Naim app refuses to find the Nova. I then tried a Nova power cycle, same again. Eventually the app kept force closing, so i gave up tried to put rhe Nova into standy but standby light just keeps flashing.

Hi all, I may be in the market for a laptop. My question is: If my two hard drives are formatted to "NTFS/Uniti Core" can their files be transferred between themselves if then connected to a mac computer? Some of the files would be music ripped using the Uniti Core and some from another source. Just thought I'd keep my options open in case I wanted to go the Mac route. Thanks for any responses

I am currently using the Naim ND5XS connected to a Synology NAS, with Acces (After abandoning Twonky ;) ). Since a couple of weeks the Naim app on the Ipad is losing its connection to either the streamer and/or the NAS. Most often it reports that there are no"chambers" to be found, sometimes it just sits idle with a "wheel" turning and sometimes it identifies the streamer, but cannot find servers. i have a Nova connected to a Seagate NAS using Plex as the interface. When I rip using DB Power and transfer to Plex my Nova will not see the new album. Has anyone else had this problem? Also some of my albums seem to just drop out and the app won’t see them Has anyone got any similar problems and resolved them please?

Came across this problem when ripping CD today... Initial rip it shows as Unknown Album Unknown artist with some random index numbers. Refreshed metadata via all providers in the app, no help. Edited metadata originally Artist and Cover which appeared fine... then added tracks (15) saved and all looked ok, however when I went back to it later all change. I have been the proud owner of a Star for a few weeks (great piece of gear, by the way) and have found a small recurrent issue. I have experienced in these weeks three short power shut downs, one by utility, two home created. I believe that the AMG database is no longer available but when ripping CD's on my UnitiServ the first few minutes are taken up (according to the NServ app) by trying to lookup AMG before going on to Music Brains and Rovi. So how can I remove the AMG lookup stage; could not find anything that looked appropriate on the Naim desktop application? Hi everyone I have been using the internet radio on my unitilite for the past two days and it keeps stopping. It is ok for a couple of minutes then it freezes for a few seconds before starting playing against. My internet connection is excellent so not sure what the problem is. Anyone else having this problem? Thanks

Probably best for Mu-so/Mu-so Qb owners to have a separate one if needed. Hi Uniti owners, can you let me know your thoughts/experiences on the following: 1) do the systems (Uniti models) really take time to run in/warm up, and if so, how long and is there a best way to do it? 2) do you put the system in standby when you’re not listening to it? My prev Naim (SU) was on all the time. Regarding 1, I’m putting my system in standby from new, if there is a running in period, should I leave On (eg. Hi all, I recently purchased an ND5XS so I'm new to the music streaming.Everything in the black box is working,even Tidal which I downloaded.I just have a question about Asset UPNP.I downloaded the program and is working fine,but why do I have to leave my pc on as well as the program itself to get music from ND5XS?With Tidal I can stream music even if the pc is off.I know I'm new to these technologies,please give me an answer.Thank you.

An audio friend of mine has just exchanged the standard 3TB discs of the Melco with two 5tb discs. Looks like very attractive, but I am bit cautious as I am not sure if you would loose something in sound quality or if there are any long term negative effects. Right now I am running my Melco with a separate external disk, but I have the mess of constantly determining what I move additionally to the external disk as my Melco is running again against the 95%. I ripped a few cds to a stick yesterday using dbpoweramp (WAV), had a few funnies but I notice the level is considerably lower via usb compared to tidal or internet radio, probably by about 15 or 20%, anyone else notice this or is it normal? Bit annoying as you have to turn the vol down when you change inputs.

I have 3 servers on network. 2 are not visable on pc but I can access all of them with naim app etc to play music. but cant access server view on network on pc , so cant open server contents for drag /drop etc. any help please

Two questions. Is there any way of getting the ‘Stream Info’ on the 555 screen, as was possible on NDS?
