I have a Naim unitiserve SSD connected which saves ripped CDs to a Negear ReadyNAS. The music is played through an Linn Majik DSM. All three products are connected to a Sky router via a network switch. Most of the time the products work fine, but every so often when I am streaming music to the DSM there is a drop out in sound and I have to reboot the system. Hi I have a Netgear ReadyNAS Duo with 2 * 2TB drives. My setup is relatively straightforward as I rip the music on my Mac using XLD and copy the files onto the NAS. All files are FLAC and are also stored on the Mac, which is effectively a backup for the NAS. Having Just spent over $4,000 (AUS) on a 2TB Unitiserve I’m disappointed by the lack of ability to edit and/or correct mistakes to the data base or add missing covers. This is a much bigger problem in the “download” file which there is no editing what so ever. Why can’t I merge a double CD into one, if I was to use Naim’s logic these should also have 4 sides as well, and wouldn’t be nice to be able delete crappie “bonus tracks” on classic CD’s? And why is my “downloaded” music any difference...

Ok I have finally accepted that n-stream for Android is some way off or might not even happen. So with this in mind I may buy either of the above as my control for n-stream. (Bubble and Synology control apps are just not working out for me!). I can see pros and cons for both. One is larger and will be easier to view content but more expensive (£270). The other is smaller (Touch 5 th edition), more convenient to hold and is cheaper (£180). Cost difference of £90 is perhaps not an issue over...
