I installed my Switch today (after getting some help to pick one from helpful Forum-members). So, Router-->Switch and in the Switch: NDS, US, NAS only. Now to the crazy stuff: improved SQ, took kind of 3 sec to hear more "space" around Voices and also deeper/quiter soundstage. Very surpricing. Really dident had any belif it would do any difference what so ever, did it more to calm my obsessive side but what can I say. Highly recommended, best 20€ invested so far! //Jonas

I'm reading here  that some of us are ripping to flac and streaming  transcoding flac on the fly to Wav. My question is: why transcoding on the fly and not streaming the flac?
