Streaming Audio

Hi, I have put this in HIFI as its a post about hifi and streaming. Hope this is ok guys? I posted earlier in the year about a move to streaming from cd and a possible purchase of record deck. After running a NDX with a NaitXS for a little while, I've got the NaitXS sourced by a ND5XS. Much better synergy, and I'm much happier. Congratulations to NAIM for a steller product.

Hi, I’ve got a Naim DAC & a Vortexbox connected wireless via a squeezebox duet and optical cable. The sound is good but not as good compared to my CD Transport, via Black Rhodium Opera DCT++ interconnect (BNC). Today I happened to look at the Sound preferences in my MacBook Air (Mountain Lion), and lo and behold, one option was "Naim HDX & Qute - Airplay." Huh? How does my Mac even know I have those two devices? I selected this option and tried playing iTunes, and of course neither HDX nor Qute responded, but still... Anybody know what's going on here?

When listening to iradio @ 25 volume level, I have to turn up to 35 or more to get the same volume level  when listening to my nserve files.  Was wondering if this is normal or what the issue could be.

HiThe specs for the NDX say that it can handle WMA 9 up to 320Kbps. Does that really mean that it is unable to handle WMA Lossless? Or am I missing something which is not unusual. John
