I thought I would post something on using metadata (tags) to organise your music collection for streaming. It may (or may not) be of interest to others particularly those starting off and ripping a CD collection. I didn't plan it like this it just...

I've recently bought a Unitiqute and consequently I'm expanding my collection of downloaded music fairly rapidly.  I've noticed that the file listing in n-Stream often takes quite a while to catch up when I've added new folders or reorganised...

Dear all, Why naim don't use the "Gracenote" DB for database query on their ripping system ? It will best for worldwire people to query their national album. Marco

I have edited a few albums on my ns01 that the Naim software could not identify, but what happens with this information  is it stored locally or transmitted to one of the data bases. If it is stored zlocally is it part of the backups performed by...

Hi all, Just trying to get some advice. If I play music from my Mac Mini (2012 via optical) into my Naim Dac using iTunes and BitPerfect, is it any different in SQ than playing through a Naim streamer, say NDX? I have a flac library and use a...

I may be going crazy but playing tracks on spotify premium seems to sound better than playing the FLAC equivalent on iTunes with BitPerfect. I have optimised my BitPerfect settings as per the manual. Both options I have streamed from Mac mini into the...

I am committed to digital replay at home, but nevertheless still own a CD5XS.  I use the cd player as a transport into my nDAC, and at this point it does seem rather redundant to my uServe and NAS.  The only advantage it seems to provide is...

My friend plays his music from iTunes on his computer to a Naim NDX. If he records in WAV format to iTunes his NDX doesn't see the track. With recordings in ALAC or AIFF he has no problem. I am sure its an easy fix???? Can anybody advise?

It may just be me but B&O have slipped out an odd little wireless bridge called the "Playmaker" as an attempt to tackle the threat posed by Sonos and move them deeper into streaming territory. It is an interesting yet really odd product; B&O seem oddly coy about its abilities beyond claiming both DLNA / AirPlay compliance with support for the usual range of file types. In theory it has potential but dealers seem as confused by this new device. For one thing there is no...
