annoyingly, I couldn't rip any of the few CDs that were I got delivered today! Hi there, I sold my Naim 272 2016 and bought a NDS 2014 from a custumor wich bought the Nd555. I have to wait a few months until the Customer will receive his Nd555. I have a very good feeling about the Nds upgrade to the 272. But one feeling is bordering me. The Nds is now an archieved product as the 272 is still running. What will happen with the older streamers? Will they not be compatible in the future with newer software? Will Naim come with a hardware upgrade like the 24 bit streaming...

I've put my old Mac Mini to work as a network storage device. But since the Mini only has 80Gb of internal storage, I then connected another external 250Gb drive. The Mini's own HD works fine with Asset, but I can't get the external drive to appear in the UPnP menu via the Naim app. Anyone know of a sneaky way to get this to work, or do I need to put a bigger internal HD in the Mini? TIA

I’ve owned a Unitiserve for about four years and really enjoy it. Recently, I’ve experienced some issues: -When I burn a CD, it no longer downloads the cover as it used to. I can still search for the cover image after the CD is burned and add it but it’s an inconvenience and I wonder why this problem just started happening. Updated both app and firmware, 272 connected to core. I have to say that the app update has, for me been a huge success, this is what the app should have been originally. Naim have listened to complaints/suggestions that I and many others have made via the feedback built into the app and acted on them, well done. I haven't had a crash or any other problems since I updated. The firmware update was easy to carry out, still evaluating if it's made a difference to the music though. Now all Naim...

I own a NDS/ 555PS combination and a dealer told me yesterday, if i would play my music instead of my Qnap with 4Tb with my AQ Vodka Ethernet cable, with a Uniti Core and an internal HDD or SSD, this would sound much better. With "much better" terms, i am always very careful , after 30y of Hifi. What is your opinion ? Someone who had done a comparison ? Laurence

I have recently purchased a Nova with Dynaudio special forty speakers using Naim cable. I am extremely happy with the sound but the system clearly demonstrates the limits of Spotify. I heard sometime ago that Spotify were looking at lossless quality service and wonder if anybody on this site has any recent information regarding Spotify’s intentions. I would happily pay an additional fee for lossless quality as up to now I’ve been happy with the service.

Hi, I thinking, does Google Chromecast affect sound signal somehow? For example, I have Google Chromecast player on my computer. I can send FLAC file from this player to Uniti Atom (or any other device) via Chromecast. And the second option would be to write this file to USB HDD, plug it to Naim Uniti, and play the file from HDD. Will sound quality be the same in both cases? Just read a review of this on the ear website, Jason Kennedy full of praise. It's also a 5000 GBP server, blimey now that is serious cash. Not sure if anyone got the chance to compare it to a Uniti core? Did anyone get the chance to hear the Zenith SE, which apparently got a much improved power supply?

Hi Naim, I purchased Uniti Core last June, it works EXCELLENT and the HW/SW design and function is EXCELLENT! But one week ago, I found almost half of the album cover pictures were lost and can't be recover by restart App or search album data from internet again, then I think it maybe a temporary software fault and will be recover automatically soon. i am currently experiencing problems with the uniti core and its refusal to allow ripping CD's to the hard drive, even though it's been doing this for last year and is only at 50percent if its capacity. trying the correct protocol, I raised a support request. I have just acquired a Superuniti. My old streaming system was a logitech squeezebox touch through a Cambridge audio dac and a Linn Intek amp. The server is a Logitech Media Server (which I like because it integrates well with iTunes although it’s a bit buggy). Nearly all my music is ripped to Apple lossless (m4a). The problem I have is that although the few mp3’s I have play well I can’t play any m4a files. I get a message “can’t play unable to open stream” can anyone help please?

Surely, one can easily upgrade interconnects and have locally stored music I.e. HDX, but once you’re in the streaming domain, those Ethernet leads are as cheap as chips - and surely not allowing as much data through compared to locally stored???

confused, how can I dream music via my UPnP mode on my muso?

Do others find the Naim app drains their battery quickly? Am on a newly-refreshed battery iPhone 7, and whilst it normally lasts all day, with the Naim app on, it's dying after about 6 hours..... Technically, unless it's doing lots of networking in the background to discover services and suchlike, it shouldn't take much power to keep a wifi connection and send occasional control signals, so am wondering if it's just me, or if others have noticed it?

My NDX has Fault 61 with BridgeCo init fail showing on he screen this morning any ideas ?? the 4.6 update was done couple of weeks ago and has been been working fine until this morning. Recently I purchased a Roon Core device and now I am looking for speakers. The Naim Muso & Qb are at the top of list but I learned that both of these speakers are not Roon Ready and cannot be used as Roon endpoints. Are there plans to make these speakers Roon Ready soon? If not, I will have to go to Bluesound.
