Has anyone got their hands on the new software for the HDX. If so is it cd format you can load yourself or does it need to be updated at the Naim dealer.

Please help guys, have just got a Naim DAC and was hoping to download some hi-res files from Linn, Naim, B&W etc but I dont have a clue! Linn suggest using Max for mac but it just sits in my downloads file and the preferences don't appear as they should. Is there an idiot (ie me) proof way of accessing these files? Whether through max or another way

Quick question, presumably the DAC can receive and play iTunes files via an optical feed, are there certain file formats that simply won't work accepting that the AIFF is probably the best?ThanksJez

According to the Connections newsletter, 'all Naim products with a USB input can play FLAC files'. The brochure on the DAC, however, states that the file formats supported are 'USB = WAV'. Perhaps someone could clarify this.

OK, so I followed all the instructions and CD's 2 & 3 installed correctly and this was validated by checking the new firmware was installed. CD 4 was loaded last night at 2030 hrs. The problem is that I am still getting the message "image cache rebuilding - do not switch off". It's been running now for over 24hrs - so now what Naim? What's the recommended next step??
