I formatted my usb drive as requested and then ripped some cd's to it. Then added some more to the same folder onthat drive from my pc. The usb drive can't be seen by the star, but all the cd's are showing in the servers/local music folder. Does anybody have any idea why this is happening, please.

Just bought a Naim Mu-So QB. Volume Dial doesn't work? Is this a simple setting on the app or is it broken?

Hi all, Using the desk top client, how do I command the US to make a parallel MP3 copy of all my CD rips? Thanks, Ray.

I assume Chromecast devices are wi-fi only, but may be wrong. Concerned therefore to find a Chromecast 'Nearby device' in my Qobuz iPhone app in addition to the Nova. If I turn off wi-fi but leave Bluetooth on both disappear. So unless I'm seeing the Nova twice for some reason I'd have to be concerned someone is accessing my LAN. I have several original Amazon Echos and Echo Dots, don't think I can cast to those? AppleTVs, PS4, Opp BluRay player are other connected devices apart from Macs. ...

I've been trying to listen to Tidal but the Naim app keeps asking for my password and says it is wrong. I changed my password on Tidal website and I still cannot get it to work. Anybody having similar issues?

Hi all, I'm new to the Naim product line and have only had my Uniti Core for several weeks now. Question...I have been loading up tracks into a playlist and now it's sitting at 500 tracks and doesn't show tracks I have tried to load into the playlist beyond that number. Is this a limitation and is 500 the max you can put in a playlist? Thanks!

OK guys, I’m looking for a Mac friendly (although I can reformat) compact 2.5” portable USB 3.0 HD back up for ripped CDs. May also partition the drive for some critical work files if I buy a larger unit. Unit to replace an ancient 1TB 2.5” drive (almost full) that’s just started throwing up issues on DriveDX. I’m looking at size range from 2TB minimum to up to 4TB. The usual suspects that first spring to mind are Western Digital (My Passport), LaCie Rugged Mini, Seagate BackUp+ and G-Drive...
CamlanPosted: 09 March 2018Last Updated: 10 March 2018
Does anybody do this and if so who with and at what cost for 2tb. I currently back up my Unitiserve to a QNAP NAS but am mindful that a catastrophic event such as, for example, a lightning strike would probably take out both.

Hi, I am having an issue with my Unitiserve in that when I change the artwork via the app (as I cannot see how this can be done using the desktop version) it still stays the same when I navigate to the album via the Naim app through my Unitiqute. I've tried changing it several times and it just will not have any of it. Really annoying. Also when I click to play an album when i'm in the desktop application it doesn't actually play it via the Qute, why is this? Or it will say 'playing xyz...

I had a bizarre network fault today. Attempted to play albums via UPnP and kept getting the “Can't Play. Skipped track” error message on the UnitiQute2 display and iPad App. iRadio, Bluetooth / USB / iPod playback worked just fine, so a network error of some sort? First issue I’ve had after months of UPnP streaming from the Mac Mini as server. The only routine change being a first time OSX Time Machine backup las night, just to compare with my usual Carbon Copy Cloner backups. Utterly...

Trying to connect a Pioneer XDP 300R Hi-Res music player Via USB to Naim ND5 - XS Streamer. I am using an AudioQuest Dragon USB OnThe Go adaptor from Pioneer to Naim. The Naim is unable to detect the device. I have been told that the Pioneer player needs to be 'A USB Mass storeage Device' to be recognised by the naim. I have Hi-Res music on the player and would like to listen direct through my Naim system, Any suggestions would be appreciated. (Pioneer is recognised when connected to a...

hello, i downloaded an album on the naim site. The download to install appears on my mail. The download is done, via wav . It is on the form of zip file. It is not present on my music folder on my pc, windows 7. I sent the zip file to my unitserve, but no album seen....How to do? thanks

HI all, I'm sorry as I've asked this before but am really now ready to get on with installing a NAS to use with my Naim Muso. The NAS will also be used to back up "ordinary" data from two PCs in the house. "Data" is not large video files, but more to back up my photographs. Generally speaking, it's Excel and Word files that we use in our small business that we currently run via seperate PCs, backing up on their own. Even though our business has seperate aspects, a shared drive would benefit...

I found on the excellent high fidelity poland magazine the review for a 4100 eur ethernet switch. I am sure a lot will laugh, for myself i am surprised to find a such expensive switch. The persons who have technical knowledge in lan products will certainly look what the hell this switch is about. I am curious to discover their commentaries.

Had a look at the new streamers specs and it seems that Qobuz streaming will only be available through the built-in, limited to 24/96, Cromecast. Why is that, why is Qobuz not integrated like Tidal? Just got a Qobuz Sublime+ subscription, hence the question.

Drat! Drat! Every time I convince myself that my Nova can stand on its own four feet, I find an album where I find something lacking and hook up my old NAP 250 and it's a different ball game.

Hi. Anyone experienced Nova becomes unresponsive after using it with Roon? I can change to different inputs, but no sound. After a few minutes the Nova becomes completely unresponsive. The only solution for me so far is to unplug the unit. Anyone experienced something similar? I'm quite frustrated at the moment.

I've never used it but the real annoyance with integrated services is that relatively recent kit can be left out in the cold when APIs change - seen it before with YouTube on older Apple devices. This version of the app is supposed to have fixed the problem of detecting the Media Server(s). (After the device Android OS goes to sleep and disconnects from the WiFi , the App cannot restore access to the Media Server.) Has anyone found this state error to have actually been fixed in the production code? It is still a problem in both my Android devices (one Android 5 one Android 6).

I am the owner of a Uniti atom and iPhone 7plus. The app works fine except for the volume control. The tiny slider makes it hardly usable (even on the large iPhone 7+ screen). A slight touch, moving it 1 mm makes a volume jump of at least 4. Why not implement a + and - button ? Like on the remote. Makes it a lot user friendly. Or imitate the large volume knob, that would be in line with the Naim design. Yamaha app had the same problem and solved this with a volume knob several years ago.

Hello all. My Naim system consists of a Core, 272 & 250DR. I listen with Burmester B10 speakers. I have over 2300 CDs & downloads on the Core. I use Tidal high res. I'm about to add an NDX to my main system in another room. I was at my brother's place today, and he asked me why I was getting into streaming this way. He's quite content using Apple Music and CDs ripped to his computer. He has 5 different zones in his house, all controlled with his iPhone. Sure, Apple Music only streams...

so you think Naim takes long time to break in? Well....try a new Auralic G2! Sounds shitty first week, ok after 3 weeks, nice after 5, wow... after 8+ ! So I ask myself: how can one test such gear at home over the weekend? And why the hell does it take so long for a to break in for a digital device without analog stage? I know it from my 282, 252, NAP250DR, they played some sort of „stiff“ in the beginning, (ok 250DR played fantastic almost out of the box...) So if you should demo GW...take...
