Not sure if this is really a streaming audio question but since the most of the qute topics seem to be here, I wrote it here. I'm planning on getting a secondhand UnitiQute 2 from my dealer, to be used with my tv. I've never had a Naim before but i read that there is no standby with Naim so does this mean that if I turn the Unit on and leave it on the tv input, it will play audio as I turn on the tv? Or do I need to do something with the remote. Probably a stupid question, but just want to...

Hello, every now and then my NaimUniti 2 quits playing from the Spotify App operated under iOS and gives me the following text in the display "Input initialising please wait". As long as I don't turn the Uniti off and on again the text will not disappear. (I have the uniti operated via cable and not wireless) Does anybody have an idea how to get rid of this bug? Must admit I hadn't given ethernet cables much thought until recently, apart from wanting to replace a few cheap ones I bought/got with other things where the retaining clip has broken. I have a mixture of cheap cables (including from places like Home Bargains for a quid) and named cables from the likes of Belkin. A variety of Cat 5/5e/6. I know this is old news probably but am almost the ownwer of a used mR getting a used one to test before I buy it. Recent moves mean that my internet hub is away in the next room and will require 6 or 7m of ethernet cable so my question is will a switch be needed and well basically what is the best way that won't hurt too much financially to get the signal from the hub to the microRendu?

I used to have a Uniti2 and a universal remote control (Logitech Harmony One). Since this weekend the Uniti2 is no more and is replaced by a Nova. So far so good. I am moving towards replacing my current source to a Blu2+Dave. One of the benefits will be the greatly improved headphone experience vs my SN2. I really enjoy my headphones but find DSP (cross feed) is essential. I currently run JRiver but DSP doesn't work with upnp. Is there any upnp server that can apply DSP?

I have had an ongoing issue with an ND5 SX that stops playing intermittently. It is on version 4.4 firmware on a wired home network. Good Afternoon has anyone en countered any problems with the Atom switching off the speakers whilst watching the tv through the Atom, Iv'e had a HDMI board fitted with the HDMI lead plugged into the Sony tv HDMI socket which has an ARC. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I would be interested to hear if anybody else is now experiencing issues when ripping CD's following the latest release of firmware earlier today to version 2.5(9144). The CD appears to rip fine, but then when completed it is not being ejected and requires a manual eject?

Can the Uniti Atom, with "Chromecast built-in", be used as a member in a Chromecast "audio group" together with other Chromecast Audio devices (CCA pucks) such that music can be cast simultaneously to all devices in the group as a multi-room system? i ended up in a position where i had a large iTunes library (15 odd years in the making) and a roughly equally large (but only 1 year old) library on my NAS drive. There was probably about 60% of my music on both with perhaps 20% on iTunes but not my NAS and vive versa. My QNAP works well but it can be really frustrating as well. Transferring music from my Mac to the NAS is fine unless the QNAP needs updating - which seems to happen pretty regularly. Then I can't make a connection to the QNAP without updating the firmware first. A quick request to anyone who knows more about file conversion than I do, which is not much! I need to convert a large number of FLAC albums to WAV, to put on a memory stick I use in the car. I have successfully used XLD for this in the past, but it seems to have the tedious habit of keeping the original (FLAC) file as well as the WAV. Is there a way (when using spotify) of having the unit display the track detail view full time, and not revert back to the album cover view after a few seconds? Even better, is there a way of accessing this view? The online 'manual' is pretty unhelpful and a pain to use.

Having moved house, I am retrieving from storage and setting up my UQ1 and Synology NAS. Previously I recall being able to see the bitrate for files and thus distinguish between 16 and 24 bit and FLAC and WAV files. This seems to be missing from the Naim iOS app on my iPad. Has this been removed from the latest version?
