We installed some new NAIM audio equipment which should work as a multi-room solution. For this, the Netgear R7000 router needs to support Bonjour. How do I take care of setting this up? Harold

Using the Naim app. (V5.9) on iPad (V10.3.3 (14G60) - when I try to open the album info. I get the following message - "Request failed : forbidden (403)" This has just occurred today. All was OK yesterday, and for the previous several years. Has something changed? UnitiServe 2Tb; ND5XS; Nait XS2

Hi everyone! First time poster and Mu So purchaser! Having bought one second-hand for Christmas I am enjoying this magnificent piece of kit immensely. However I have one or two issues I hope that people can help me with - Firstly when streaming Spotify to the unit - it works fine with all music, apart from Podcasts where my iPhone informs me that I can't play it right now (sorry, can can't play the content while connected to another device). Does Spotify not allow Podcasts to stream to...

I'm very much enjoying my new Uniti Nova with B&W 804 D3 speakers. An addition in a second home to the uniti 2 / neat elite combo I already have. Clear upgrade and handled my 16 yo son's demo choices with aplomb. The slam to start Royal Republic Full Steam space machine is especially cool. A Maxell man moment in the demo room for those who remember that advert. In digging I didn't see a thread on headphone pairing for the Nova. Want to be able to play late at night. Don't really want the...

Good afternoon to all members, Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year 2018! Just bought MU-so and I realized that there's no possibility to adjust treble and bass besides the loudness and wall distance options. Meanwhile already read that seems to be more or less "internal politics" from Naim that Hi-Fi equipment needs to be the most "pure" as possible. I also agree that this option should exist nevertheless, a "direct sound" button could probably be also an option in case end users want to...

In case this has gone unnoticed Illustrate released version 6 of Asset for the Linux platforms towards the end of December. It has some useful updates including the ability to have multiple libraries. I’m currently experimenting with this to split my classsical music out as I think it could benefit from a different browse tree structure. Richard

Advice please..... I am thinking about cancelling my superfast broadband, switching to standard BT broadband, and getting a discounted mobile phone? However, how does Tidal streaming work? what about movie streaming? I only wish i could trail it to see what it is like. I have 4k Netflix movies, will standard broadband be ok? BT estimate the speed will be 3Mb, I am getting around 30Mb (Talk Talk) at the moment. Money is tight :( BT have not provided a date for faster fibre in this area.

Hi everyone, happy new year. I recently picked up a knowingly 'dead' Mu-so. Dead in that when powered on it shows no signs of life at all. Having checked all the obvious points like power cable and fuse, I opened the case for a prod around. In case you're wondering, remove the 8 screws in the speaker arrangement plate and gently ease this forward. After that it's just a matter of noting which wire goes where for the speakers, removing the front WiFi board and unplugging the remote receiver...

A query for any Mac users using Audirvana. Apple recently removed the Bonjour tab from Safari 11.00 making it a chore to access configuration pages for LAN devices using the protocol. Roon consistently sees my Nova but with Audirvana it's hit and miss, and 90% of the time (Roon not running) it won't detect it and reverts to playback using the Mac in-built audio output. Same after restarts of the Mac even if Roon not used. Personally I think it's probably a software issue with Audirvana...

Must be the holidays so listening more and went back to an old but now closed post regarding DSD. Anyway I invested in 24bit FLAC and DSD 64 versions of Micheal Jackson Thriller and History (i have other DSD128, but all classical and not my normal thing), plus my Tidal Hifi. The former two downloaded from a well known website and added to USB. I did some mild refresher reading purely on formats, but avoided the which sounds better opinions. I must say the DSD64 (max I could find so not...

Hi everybody I am not sure if anybody has an answer for this and I am not even sure if there is an answer to my question. I have a Unity-2, which is connected to a Melco N1A connected to an Airport Extreme. One of my boys also now has a Sonos One and we have a MacMini on the Network that runs Plex for recording TV. When I use the Naim app I don't only see the MinimServer installed on the Melco but also the Sonos and Plex server. Is there a way that I can only see the MinimServer and nothing...

Does Mp3tag have a maximum directory size? I've been doing a lot of work on my library and the associated tagging and now have over 20000 tracks. This morning I had issues adding artwork (took several attempts) and then Mp3tag did a force shut down after I tried to save a single tag. It would then not restart coming with a 'device is full' message (my NAS drive is only half full). I had to restart the computer and tell Mp3tag where the directory was (it normally finds it automatically) but...

I'm wondering why you would want to change from an HDX or NS01 to the new Core... Are there any good reasons why you would choose to abandon your HDX or NS01 (or unitiserv) in favour of one of the new Core servers? I agree the Core looks impressive, it's a smaller footprint and it has a nice white light at the base, but it doesn't match the other Naim boxes in my Fraim stack, in fact it would look positively out of place, wouldn't it? So is there any significant technical reason to change...

i'm looking for a prior post on fitting a Melco NAS with Fraim. The Melco unit is too deep and the rear aluminum support of the Fraim interferes with a proper fit. The cables do not have adequate clearance. I'm looking to see what others have done to solve this problem. I know that fitting the Melco unit on the top shelf will resolve this, or positioning the unit off center on a lower shelf can work. I'm thinking of making a modification to the back aluminum Fraim support; drilling a hole.

I am thinking of purchasing a pair of sennheiser momentum wireless headphones for watching TV and playing video games on my LG Oled. I have my TV connected to my Atom through hdmi arc and I’m wondering will the atom be able to connect to the senns through bluetooth? There is no workaround as the TV won’t pair with non-LG products.

Hi everyone and all the very best for the festive season. A quickie please (but replies after Boxing Day!). I want to put a wireless DAC between my Naim "olives" and my music library on my laptop. I use a JRiver Remote on my iPad to "control" what I play. At the moment I'm hard-wired but it's a bit of a pain. So a wireless DAC it may be. Compact size and no more than £200 - although I would consider 2nd hand to get a better one and still limit to £200. Any suggestions or advice would be most...
