Streaming Audio

Apologies up front if I missed this in the forum searches just completed. Q: Is there a free trial period for either streaming service still available? A friend was on the phone tonight and has bought her partner a Muso for Xmas and was asking which service was best. I explained some of the differences but currently have no idea if either can be tried foc. Also the lucky recipient is a big Bob Dylan fan, so anyone with an idea of the best folk related 'catalogue' please let me know!

I have a hi res subscription to Tidal which delivers 44Khz FLAC to my NDS. I have read of an improved Tidal service using MQA. Can anyone tell me if and how I can access the improved service? Also, I would like to use Qobuz at master resolution, Again, any ideas paul

I seem to be having a problem with my Qb. It's not working on iRadio or UPNP inputs. The ipod input is working fine. The little LED is white suggesting it's connected to the network. I can see it and control it via the Naim app on my ipad but if i select iradio or upnp I get nothing. For iradio, the while light around the volume dial pulses as if it's trying to connect, but nothing happens. I don't get any stream info displayed through the app. This is on more than one station (inc BBC). If...

Good day. Well not really. I have had my Music QB for about a month and have been unable to get it to stream adequately it will go along happily forbetween five minutes and a couple of ours and then stop. I have exhausted Naim support and have made sure I am on a 2.4 GHz band and have ran the Music QB successfully when connected to the router directly and wirelessly when within three feet of the router. hi all, its a bit of a cry for help, i am having trouble getting my hdx to back up to an external nas, the qnap tvs-87. my system also consists of another snap that i use as a share, local to my hdx. my other nas backs up my share nas and hopefully my hdx, however i can not get it to convert a share to a backup. i appreciate that there are hundres of potential glitches, issues, settings basically, the hdx will see the share on the 871, it will allow me to change to share to a store and back...

Much as we enjoy music when played on the CDS3, we are using it less and less these days. Vinyl albums played on the Vertere turntable almost always sound comprehensively better (i.e. sit back, enjoy and be immersed in the joy of the music). I have question please. I own a NAIM NDX and am trying to connect my iPad to a smart TV while viewing youTube and wanting to stream Audio via Bluetooth to my NDX. I can stream Bluetooth audio of youtube while viewing the iPad screen no problem. I can view the Youtube from the iPad via the smart TV no problem and audio through the TV. I found out that JRIVER can split CUE without having to divide it through DBPOWER, which I used to do all the time, but there is a problem when I come to play the file that it distributed on NDS it is playing only MP3 even though the file is LOSSLESS, I was looking to change the JRIVER settings to LOSSLESS and if possible to WAVE, But I have not found, maybe you guys in this forum knows the answer I`m looking for ..thank you!

Did some CD-ripping with my Core. Deleted the albums afterwards using the app. The albums do not show up anymore in the app (UPNP). If I browse to the corresponding "MQ" folder on the "Music" share of my Core via my Mac or WIN PC I can see that the music (and meta data) files have indeed been removed. The enclosing album are still there and I can't get rid. Seems that I'm not allowed to delete these... :-(. Help on deleting the empty folders appreciated!

Hello everyone, happy holidays to you! I used to have no trouble connecting to the Core's "downloads" & "music" folders using Windows 10 on my main PC. As I right this my Windows XP computer has no issues connecting. But On the main PC I keep getting this error. I should mention I did get connected last week but that was short lived and this error keeps coming back. Sometimes I get in the server but the error starts when I try to open either of the Music or Downloads folder.

does the uniticore support Roon? that would be one way of making the older, NDX, NDS etc. roon compliant?

Hello, I am having problems trying to configure ROON to use my ethernet connection from my MacBook Pro to my Mu-so. The system works fine with Audirvana and the Naim app, but ROON seems to insist on using Airplay. I know I am new to ROON and an using the trial version, but I can't see where the setting is. What are peoples experiences with Audirvana and Roon specifically with MM >> USB ISOLATOR >> DAC. ? I would want to play Tidal MQA if possible. What are the + & - and has anyone trialed both?

Last night I played something via Roon. This morning despite trying NAS sources and Qobuz via Chromecast built-in I was unable to play anything on the Nova which seemed to be stuck with the last played Roon audio artwork, even a quick power on/of and it came back in Roon mode. Most of my AC/DC albums are FLAC but I have a handful in MP3. The MP3 albums (like the FLAC albums) have Artist and Album Artist set to AC/DC in Mp3tag but appear on the Naim app as AC. To further complicate matters one MP3 album appears on the Naim app as AC/DC if I search by Album Artist but as AC if I search by Artist. Very odd and grateful for any advice. I know I could switch them all to ACDC and it would probably work.

Neil Young has built a music straming archive website of nearly all his songs. He says the archive needs to be run on a PC. The problem is: my main system isn't connected to my PC, which is a desktop PC upstairs, so is there a way of streaming songs from the Neil Young archive directly through my N272 without physically connecting my PC to it?

This is an Apple household and we have a Naim hifi in one room and a Uniti Atom in another. My other half uses the Atom much more and I was thinking of buying one of the ‘voice control’ things such as an Alexa or an Echo for his Christmas. As you can probably tell I know next to nothing about electronics except I can connect to the Naim with my iPad app. :D I would really appreciate opinions as to whether these latest gadgets would connect with his Atom.
