Streaming Audio

I used to listen to 3001fm as a good no adds internet radio station But a while ago it just stopped working/connecting Tried googling what had happened...but found nothing..does anyone know anything more pls

I have Tidal Hi-Fi level subscription. Under Settings-Streaming-Quality there is a choice Hi-Fi (lossless) and Master(the best audio experience). There are also Sound Output choices. I use a 272 as streamer pre-amp,NAS with Asset and as such can't play Masters MQA through the Naim app controlling the 272. Would it be better for me to leave the Streaming setting on Tidal to Hi-Fi or do I derive any benefit to placing the setting on Masters or might that be worse not be able to utilize...

When I rip my CDs, I have my UnitiServe SSD (US) set to store in WAV format. Subsequently I have been encoding the stored WAV files to MP3 320kb and set it so that any new CDs are stored both to WAV and MP3. I have then transferred a number of the MP3 files to a USB drive to use in the car. Unfortunately, I have found that about 40% of the MP3 files generated by the US will not play in the car; nor will they play using other players such as iTunes, Windows Media Player or Beat. Hi, I am running a 300/272 and controlling using the Android app. My first phone was very slow, and I would get problems when things just grind to a halt. I bought a new phone which is much faster so expected the Naim App to be smooth. It is not, the problem I get is when the phone blanks the screen for inactivity (30 seconds by default), when you access the screen again to wake it up. The screen does not restore, it gets the naim app to completly reload, and fails because it notices another...

last night's new version is moderately better, but still has a host of design sillyness. My favourite is the Edit Metadata page on Core where the heading is clipping and appears as "... . .... . .... .. ..." bottom volume slider is still much too close to the apple app change bar. maybe the third go at "improved for iphone x" will iron these things out?

Tried replying to prev thread by DRPO but it's now closed to new replies. Am experiencing exactly the same issue with DSF files of Mahler symphonies when more than 25 mins in length. NDS will play the first few minutes in excess of that and then stops - eg 8mins of a 33min track, 3mins of a 28 min track (similar to as DRPO described). Files are on a Synology NAS. Doesn't matter what the UPnP server is eg minimserver or asset on the NAS or Asset running from an imac. Files play fine on Roon...

Hi Everyone I just upgraded my UQ to the latest software (Version 4.4) in the hope of trying Spotify and/or Tidal. The unit restarted fine but I can't see Spotify or Tidal in any menu or the App but otherwise everything is working just fine. Maybe my unit is not compatible? Extensive Googling hasn't led my anywhere, can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance

after having problems ,only playing one track and not able to forward onto next track. rebooted ipad ,router and ndx and then removed app to re-install hoping that would fix it. the ipad is new and the latest updates etc.Opened up the store the naim serve app shows but not the streamer app. any ideas ,advised it is apple problem by support naim on telephone thanks

hello, a very technical question. I decided to try the “on the fly” conversion from flac to wav with my unitiserve. Followed the instructions from a recent post and it worked. However, when I played a 192 Flac, it looks like it is being converted to 44.1 wav (according to the app display and the streamer screen) Is the US able to transcode hi res files? thanks ..

Hello The Naim app (I'm using an iPhone 8Plus and an iPad Pro) has stopped displaying album artwork. Here's my setup: Music Systems: a UnitiQute and and a Muso / Computer and OS: MacMini with OS High Sierra / UPnP Music Server: "Playback" with music files managed by iTunes (most current version) Album artwork for each of my albums is added using iTunes (selecting an album and adding the JPEG file to it in iTunes). How can I turn off the display of the Atom while playing Music? The older range had a "disp" button on the remote. Sitting in a dark room, listening to quite music with a bright yelling Display (depending on the cover / artwork) is annoying. The time/watch options fails as it reverts to cover after a few seconds.
