Streaming Audio

Yesterday I installed a new TP Link modem router to replace my previous unreliable one. Everything on my network is working as it should be with the exception of finding my NAS on the laptop I use for ripping CDs. On this laptop, running Windows 10, I previously had my QNAP NAS mapped as the Z drive and when ripping in DBPoweramp the files were automatically saved there. It all worked well. I assumed I would have no problems with the new router, but now the laptop cannot see the Z drive.

Sorry to ask this question here, but I can't register at the minimserver forum because I can't find the correct answer to the security question, how silly huh? I decided to give minimserver a try and installed it on a Windows 7 PC and later on my Windows 2012 server. They ran just fine serving music to my Unitiqute. But this morning the fun was over minimserver failed to launch on both PC and server. Has anyone experienced this earlier? Can this be due to a Java update?

While studying the online manual I found this 'UPnP file browsing can only be carried out using the Naim app' - does this mean that the remote is cannot be used as a...remote? I understand from this that I cannot scroll down or up and choose the file to play? I have read several posts regarding the improved SQ using specific brand and models of switches ie. Cisco. I learned last night that my 272 is connected by a long run of cat-6, directly to my Pakedge router. Had run out of ports from my Pakedge switch. I imagine this is fine since I don't see how a switch can add SQ. Is there something I don't understand?

Hi everyone, I'm a Naim newbie who recently acquired UnitiQute 2. When I control Tidal/Spotify using the Naim mobile app I hardly ever get stutters and pauses, but when I use Tidal/Spotify desktop this happens so often, almost with every song. Does this have to do with bluetooth issues, or is it because my wifi is too slow? sometimes I see the wheel turning on my tidal app especially when I play a tidal master quality album. I got my Atom (after almost a years delay) this august, and while very happy with the unit itself, i was disappointed to find that the multiroom with my mu-so didn't work. I posted a thread on it here: http://forums.naimaudio.com/topic/atom-mu-so-multi-room-problems I learned that this was a problem with the mu-so not being up to date with the atoms multiroom protocol. Three months later the problem remains the same. Anyone has any ideas? Has naim just given up on mu-so?

Synology have withdrawn the last DSM update 6.1.4-15217 released last week. No official reason has been given, it's just been removed from the Synology server. i have had a really bad experience with my US. It has just been back to Naim for the third time for repair and in the process the hard drive failed and they were unable to retrieve any of my data. Problem: I powered down my NS01 in oder to move it. Having relocated it I reconnected the network cable & the power cord and switched it on. It started to run through its power on sequence but stopped completely with only the green Naim logo showing any sign of life. Hi, I use an iPad to control and play music on my NDS. The music's stored on my HDX, and for various reasons, I use a direct optical connection between it and the NDS, rather than UPnP. Everything works as it should via the iPad, using nServe for replay, and the Naim app only to control volume settings remotely. Having seen others had tried 250 DRs with the Nova, I finally reclaimed my NAP 250's (circa 1992 and 1997) which had been powering some SBLs until I had to put stuff in storage. Hooked them up to the Nova one by one. The oldest first - needs servicing a definite right channel crackle and possibly an earthing fault. My partner has a new Mu-So and has added a Mu-So QB. The connections with the Mu-So have been intermittent, but so far ok. The addition of the QB has caused a lot of problems though. The most important of these is an inability to join the two devices. The Naim website says you need to "touch the app's multiroom icon (in the bottom right-hand corner of the app display)". Having binned a Unitiserve SSD for a 2TB version I would like to know how to remove existing music files that the previous owner had stored. I'm using Windows 10 to control the Unitiserve, some files I can remove and others I can't. Would be very grateful for some help with this, please keep it simple, as not being a computer geek I may struggle with the solutions, thanks.

I had posted this question in February, I never got a real answer and the thread is closed now. I still have the same problem now. I was hoping with the firmware updates this will be resolved. Has anybody else had the possibility to read the backup disk on a Mac (or PC) or not?

Hello! Hello! etc. I've just noticed that the updated RP app now supports flac streaming. I have this app on various i-Devices, and an Apple TV, connected to an SU via optical. Obviously the 320kbps stream is native to Naim streamers via iRadio. Can anyone advise on the easiest way of getting the RP flac files onto my SU. There's an exotic muffin in it for the winner. For the losers, endless torment punctuated by spontaneity hour where you all go first.

Apologies for starting yet another thread on this but I cannot find an open thread to post my findings on. Sorry for another question about multiroom between Uniti Atom and Mu-so Qb. The last post i noticed is from August, but nothing changed. Because of this feature i bought the Mu-so. Now other features like roon are implemented, but the basics are not done. Is there any information, when multiroom will work? thanks in advance Stephan
