Streaming Audio

As an older topic is locked thanks for the comments that helped me solve this issue on my iPhone requiring me to login to the WD NAS using port 9000 and setting the iPhone and Uniti Atom to 'Naim Audio Streamer' types under the Media Receiver list in the Sharing menu of the Twonky Server. Hi, I have Unitiqute at home and installed Naim App. The App finds my Unitiqute immidiatelly but than It won't connect to it. Same happens if I try with iOS device. Can anybody help me? Thanks

Just a thought given most streamers now talk to some type of server to update to the latest firmware and setup, could we see something built into the app and hardware to enable mobile phone type blacklisting if stolen. I remember days of old insuring a prior systems due to the worry, but always thought if some bast##d did steal it, yes I could claim off my insurance but they would still have won !!!!!!!!

Ok, so here is a problem. I would like to listen to the station which is not on default list of Mu-SO (it was on UQ). I have read FAQs but I can not connect to vtuner page. It won't recognize me when I want to login (although I can login on Naim homepage). Help needed (again). Thanks!

I have read the Unitiqute manual and searched this forum, but I have been unable to find the answer to the following question: Apart from saving power, are there any circumstances when the "stay connected" setting in the iOS app should be on or off? I would appreciate clarification of the use of this setting Thank you.

I am trying to add my subscribed Calm Radio station to my above streamer, but it keeps coming up with log in failed. When it asks for my personal radio station to use preferences what do I use? Also when I indicate forgotten password I do not receive any emails. Can anyone help?

I'm not sure whether any others are setting the alarm clock on the Mu-so to wake them in the morning (Settings > Alarm clock > Weekday alarm > Enable, and set time, volume and input). There is no option to set the time at which the Mu-so should turn off (although it would be very good if there were). Sometimes the Mu-so will turn off automatically after half-an-hour but on other occasions it simply plays on until I put it into standby. Has anyone else experienced this and, if so,...

Hi, I installed a new 3.0 hub yesterday and went around the house reconfiguring my devices to login to my new network. All devices appeared to connect fine and the signal strength is reported as top notch by the router itself. I can see all my MAC addresses in the router config and all would seem to be well. This may initially sound a bit geeky, but that's not really the point. When I started streaming, I discovered that the network should only be earthed at one point for optimum performance. So following good advice I got a plastic 90 degree adaptor that broke the earth where the ethernet cable attached to the nas. All good. When I use the Atom app on my iPad when I put it on Standby it immediately reverts to finding rooms so I have to close it down quickly otherwise the Atom will come on again. Am I doing something wrong!

Hi, I purchased yesterday a DSD64 album. The leading track is 33' long with size 1.3Gb. When transferred to my NAS (QNAP) the track shows a length of 7'52" (!) and indeed truncates playback at that time-stamp. Hi guy's.......I've recently moved on to the superuniti from a nait xs /Cd5i Italic and various other bits n bobs....I have been ripping my cd's and storing them on a synology ds216j 6tb nas via plex server which is all working pretty well but the other day I thought I'd try some hi res music and downloaded a album from hd tracks and another from qobuuz...both 24/96 khz all seems well until I play them through the SU.....the streaming info says it's only still the same as my ripped cd's at...

I have a Qnap HS-210. I got a message that an update for Minimserver was available and I went to install it, but something has gone wrong. While I can log in to the NAS and see all the usual information about files , discs etc, when I try to launch Minimserver I get a message 'Page can't be displayed. Make sure the web address http://192.168.0.250:9790 is correct'. The NAS IP address is definitely 192.168.0.250, so it must be the ':9790' bit that is the problem. Any ideas?

I'm relatively new to streaming and was wondering how to get the best possible sound quality. I have been ripping my CDs using DB poweramp ripper on my Mac with internal CD drive to a NAS that has Asset UPNP and then streaming via ethernet connection to NAC 272. I have also downloaded from internet sites such as HiRes audio with variable quality and finally using Tidal HiFi subscription. Any opinions regarding settings, ripper software or hardware, download sites that would optimize SQ. thanks

Is there a way one can take Uniti Atom back to factory reset ? I tried holding power button for 5 secs. Removing power chord. But every time it brings me back to the home screen instead of taking me througn the setup process. regards, sourav

I've opened a Tidal account and set up a number of favourite artists etc using the Tidal Android app and/or the Windows Desktop app. When using the Naim android app to stream Tidal, I cannot find a "place" where these favourites can be seen. Has anyone compared these head to head? From what I have been reading/watching, the mac mini via USB is still better sounding than the bluenode when streaming Tidal. But really ... how much better?
