Streaming Audio

Hi All Just getting a little frustrated here radio streams just stop, BBC, and independent. App hangs or restarts, Atom goes into sleep mode. I have 3 network infrastructures, Cisco H/W, Apple H/W and Cat6a - the Atom is connected via Cat 6a using a Cisco Business Switch. IT infrastructure is my job, so on the networking front I hope to god that I know my stuff, of course we can all learn. If a playlist has the maximum 500 songs and I delete songs on the playlist from the NAS, the Naim app warns me songs are missing when I select the playlist. But when I try to add songs to the playlist, I get a message saying the playlist is full. Do I need to also manually delete the missing tracks from the app?

Hi all. I rip via Dbpoweramp to a QNAP NAS. I recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and what I am now finding is, if I view files via the computer, I cannot edit the metadata. Previously, if I highlighted the tracks on an album and right clicked, part of the menu was "edit ID Tag". This has now disappeared. Does anyone have an idea how I can get this back ? Hi all, Mu-So buffering problems with BBC Radio solved. Bought an Amazon Echo dot. Set up in minutes, plugged it in to the line input of the Mu-So and now play BBC Radio through Mu-So. Voice control for any Radio station you can say. Echo dot is sat right next to the Mu-So, Wi-Fi connected (even works into the Mu-So's Bluetooth!!!) Not missed a beat in 8 hours now. News,Traffic,weather information as well etc etc. Mucho kudos with other half too. Ok so radio is via Tunein and probably not...

I have tons of CDs and LPs, but I want to explore using digital downloads and/or streaming. I want to avoid buying any more digital boxes if possible. So...I have a Macbook Pro running Sierra, and an iPad Air. I have a few spare external hard drives which could be used as NAS units, I have an Apple Extreme router, and an N-Dac within my system. After reading a few posts in here I am toying with buying a dedicated switch for my Naim and NAS, probably a Cisco 8 Port using CAT 7 cables. To get the best out of it is it best to connect to my wireless router via an SFP RJ45 module so it is optically isolated? Will it make any difference?

All, Can you sanity check this for me please? I'm connecting pre-amp out Atom to analogue in NAP100. I'm using a Chord Shawline with the arrow pointing away from the Atom into the NAP. The speakers, Atom, Shawline are all brand new, yet I'm not hearing the clarity that I thought I would, seems a little flat. Neat motive 3 with Chord Odyssey. Any pointers? thanks

I have just got a Q B and am learning how it works. However if I press " Check for updates " on either my iPhone or IPad the app closes and nothing appears to happen. Is this normal?

My music is stored on a Seagate NAS drive, played through a UnitiLite and "controlled" through my Ipad or Android apps. I have been struggling for a while with some variations between the tracks shown on the NAS drive and those shown on the app. For example, some album listings on the app have imported tracks from other albums. I tried a different Broadband line test yesterday & was surprised at the difference between it & my usual tester 'Ookla'. That prompted me to try all that I could find on www & including my own ISP engineers tester. None could agree, so I have to assume all are incorrect, I accept small variances, but the differences are a bit too much for my liking. To be sure I was getting best conditions & accuracy I then connected laptop with ethernet & found the same variances.

Hi Guys, I'm running an HDX as a ripper / server into my NDS via UPnP. Recently, I've been having network issues with the the NDS failing to pick up any UPnP servers. Rather than attempt to resolve this, when my knowledge of all thing networking is limited, to say the least, the plan is to connect the two units using a Toslink cable, which will arrive early next week. Hi Naim friends I am a complete novice when it comes to streaming and usually a die hard LP and secondly CD listener. Out of curiosity I signed up for a free trial of Tidal, initially just to see how good the available catalogue is and whether it would work without glitch over my cable broadband wireless connection.
