Streaming Audio

Just purchased a 2 cd of king crimson, absent lovers. Cds rip OK, but disc 2 keeps getting assigned as being disc 1, and associated track info, they are definitely different discs. Tried manual assigning metadata, also correctly looked up on musicbrainz, then saved. Left for an hour, still reads as being disc 1, it will not keep both discs saved, only one disc is allowed to be playeable Any thoughts.

I have 4 UnitiQute2s wired into my home network controlled using the iOS app running on iPods which connect to the network over WiFi. Since the update to the latest app version 5.7.3 I frequently get "Finding Rooms" and then "No rooms found". Gents after a 20+ year time out/sold up cs2/xps/52/super/snaxo24/250/250/sbls/mana mania, the Muso brought me back (Yes it's poor but streaming is for me now), but in rapid succession considering the Uniti Atom, actually got it reserved at a dealer an due to pick up Monday, but have no speakers or cables. I want to keep a true Naim setup so have seen some second hand Naim Arriva or looking at new Focal 905, 906 or 716 purely price and space constrained. I am old skool Naim and fell for that...

If I use an SPDIF analog to digital converter, connected to the NDX (which is connected to the Ndac), when analog out from the NDX is disabled, is it like connecting the SPDIF on the Ndac??? And, if so, is it wiser to connect the SPDIF directly to the Ndac???

I am unable to delete those songs with a red cross next to them in the playlist on my Samsung S7 phone. It just doesn't give me the option, no matter what I click on. Any ideas anyone? Apart from rebuilding the whole thing from scratch of course. Regards Trevor...

I see this morning's release is said to fix a bug which caused the app to forget the last connected device. I hope this is true but I'm away on holiday. So - does it fix the 'finding room' issue? Any other issues (fixed or created)?

After all the problems Naim and WE have had with the new app updates ( still not as good as it was ) that where changed to incorporate the new atom/star/core and nova control, I can only thank Naim for not releasing a second app just for the new products, I think because they haven't this surely means that at least any new functionality will also be catered for for the older so called legacy products ( NDS, 272, Superuniti, and older uniti's ) and we won't be forgotten thanks Naim

i got word from my dealer that my Core has arrived,I will be picking it up today,and hopefully playing music from it shortly after.I have not bought I hard drive yet,so my plan is to plug a 64 Gig thumb drive into the front,connect the SPDIF out to my N272,turn on the app,and begin set up.I have read over the tutorial at the top of this forum,and it seems pretty straightforward for what I want to do initially.Does anyone have any advice for me,as to what watch out for,what not to do etc.?I...

Do you think Naim are in above there heads when it comes to streaming audio.... Evening all, I have decided to replace my aging Ipad with a smaller handheld Samsung tablet. I have the Naim app for NDX but also need nserve for ripping monitor and to create play lists on my US. Why is this not available from the play store, if anyone knows? Cheers, Ray.

Yesterday, at last, got my NDX(4.4 update), into my NDAC, driven by SN2. Inscribed to tidal. Very annoyed by constant dropouts. Did not succeed to listen to one single song. Please. do explain me what are dropouts all about. Is there anything I can do to resolve this problem? Thank you very much in advance.

Since the update I'm having real problems with the app connecting to my 272... the app just searches for rooms eventhough I've always used the app so it was all set up, so both iPad and iPhone 7 continue searching, Ive deleted the app and reinstalled it many times and also manually entered the IP address and name only for it to work until I close the app, then it just searches rooms again, I've rebooted my bt hub 6 and it's still the same, I've also restarted my 272.... hi I have a good Naim system using my NDS to listen to I radio, Sunday mornings my wife like to listen to Magic, it's located in the oldies section but for some reason this Sunday it had vanished, I tried various options to no avail, I have switched the system off the on but still nothing can anybody solve this for me. Hello friends I have had my sonos connect in storage for a while now but i am thinking of using it again. Not with my Dac V1 however as this seems to introduce a delay which means the sound is not in sync with my Play 1 speakers. This has been reported extensively in the past but I wanted to double check: - Is the Dac V1 still introducing delay when you feed a Sonos Connect (hence resulting in slight out of sync sound with other Sonos players)? - I am thinking of upgrading the a Nac n272.

OK, well it's a bit better, a suspend / resume cycle initiated by the OS sleeping seems to now be OK However a suspend / resume cycle initiated by navigating away from the app (e.g. by a <back> operation on the main screen of the app - the one with the input selections on it) still causes the connection to the NAS drive and the status of the volume control to be lost until the app is closed and re-started. The NDS is praised as the current Naim top, but this is based on the assumption that one's router and the websites one uses are always working well. So one having one's own HD tracks on an HDX outputting to an NDS must therefore top this? Less chance of error. Potentially with 2x 555 PS on the NDS. Do you see where I'm coming from?) I have recently purchased a HTT and am enjoying the music it produces. The source is a NDX connected by coax which is the only connection available on the NDX. As a point of interest has any member with a HTT been able to test the difference in sound quality between using coax or the HD USB input. I appreciate that to be valid it would mean using a source with the choice of coax or USB output. I would be interested in any in any results. Thanks philip

So we have gone to Cornwall for a few weeks holiday and have taken our Qb with us, I've downloaded my music collection on a 2 gig HD and tested it at home..perfect.
